So who’s up for a little red meat for breakfast? The former Vice President, along with his very capable daughter, Liz, herself no slouch on the foreign policy front, have teamed up on a new book due out two weeks before the GOP presidential debates get underway in September. It’s called Exceptional: Why The World Needs A Strong America, and the two don’t mince words about the performance of our current commander-in-chief. If you missed it on the Hugh Hewitt Show last night, you owe it to yourself to listen to it to get your day started right.
Here’s just a sample from the transcript:
HH: Is he naïve, Mr. Vice President? Or does he have a far-reaching vision that only he entertains of a realigned Middle East that somehow it all works out in the end?
DC: I don’t know, Hugh. I vacillate between the various theories I’ve heard, but you know, if you had somebody as president who wanted to take America down, who wanted to fundamentally weaken our position in the world and reduce our capacity to influence events, turn our back on our allies and encourage our adversaries, it would look exactly like what Barack Obama’s doing. I think his actions are constituted in my mind those of the worst president we’ve ever had.
Considering how thin the President has shown his skin to be by going after Christians, Scott Walker, Congressional Republicans, Bibi Netanyahu and anyone else except terrorists and despots around the world wherever they reside, you know this isn’t going to stand un-responded to very long, don’t you?
