It’s culture-war Sunday on the chat shows. On the undercard: Rand Paul and Gary Bauer hit “Fox News Sunday” to discuss whether the GOP’s really trending libertarian on social issues while “Face the Nation” offers a roundtable on SCOTUS tackling gay marriage and DOMA. Main event: Bloomberg versus Wayne LaPierre on “Meet the Press.” I assume they’ll be interviewed sequentially, though, not together. David Gregory will, after all, have questions for Bloomy on things he wants to ban besides guns — styrofoam, sodas over 16 ounces, public displays of cigarettes in city stores, whatever else he’s onto now. It’s hard to keep up.

Newt will be on Fox as well to weigh in on modern political history’s greatest counterfactual. The line-up via National Journal:

Meet the Press hosts New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre

Face the Nation hosts a panel about the SCOTUS arguments on Proposition 8 and DOMA with Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins and others and Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., is on a second panel on foreign policy.

This Week hosts former Obama manager Jim Messina, former Bush adviser Karl Rove and former New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey

Fox News Sunday hosts Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., American Values President Gary Bauer and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
