I can’t do better than Karl’s summary so I’m going to steal it: “A Soros hack, an SEIU thug, someone who pleaded to lying to the FBI, and a Kennedy.” All that’s missing are a few pimps and prostitutes for “technical expertise.” Hardest-hitting internal investigation evah:
In a press release, ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis says, that as “a result of the indefensible action of a handful of our employees,” the group will immediately stop accepting anyone into ACORN office for service programs, will conduct in-service training of staff, and begin an audit “to review all of the systems and processes called into question by the videos,” to be conducted by the group’s Independent Advisory Council.
The Council includes many prominent Democrats, including the man who helped President Obama Transition Team, John Podesta, President and CEO of the Center for American Progress; former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend; Andrew Stern, International President of the Service Employees International Union; and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros.
More background on the panel from Karl here. They’ll have the place cleaned up in no time. Meanwhile, you’ll be glad to know that the White House has now formally deemed this seemingly endless series of videos about covering up child-sex-slave trafficking — and it is seemingly endless, per the latest hint dropped by Big Government editor Mike Flynn — to be “completely unacceptable.” Whether that means The One will sign a bill to defund the organization should it pass the House is unclear. Presumably the point of this absurd whitewash-slash-“audit” is to create enough cover for Democrats to say they deserve a second chance, which is all the more reason why it’s important for Big Government to keep the clips coming. The more there are, the more systemic this is, the more pathetic the idea of some investigative panacea becomes.
Speaking of keeping the clips coming, here’s part three from San Bernardino; a new one, reportedly from San Diego, is set to go live tonight around nine. Pay special attention starting at around two minutes in as our heroine nods blithely along while O’Keefe and Giles talk about johns paying extra to physically assault the child prostitutes they’re raping. Exit question for big media: Now that Jon Stewart’s informed you that it’s okay to pursue this story, can we knock it off with the “ACORN versus conservatives” angle? Unless you’re okay with a taxpayer-funded nonprofit colluding in sex slavery, the politics of Breitbart, O’Keefe, and Giles would seem to be somewhat tangential to the real story here.
