Our friend Dan Mitchell from the Center for Freedom and Prosperity gives us a break from the dishonest White House rhetoric on health care — in order to focus on their dishonest rhetoric on so-called “tax havens”. Dan points out that Barack Obama’s claims for revenue for his tax-policy changes are wildly inflated, while highly damaging to American competitiveness abroad. For the kind of money this policy will actually generate, we will pay a high price in jobs and economic growth:

Maybe we should start penalizing corporations for moving to Delaware. After all, they did produce Joe Biden, God love him. Mitchell does a good job in showing that the Obama tax policy is either poorly conceived — or intended for some other purpose than “fairness”. It’s a punishment for economic success, a theme we are beginning to see repeatedly already in the Obama administration.
