Audio: Fred! praises Ayaan Hirsi Ali

Y’know, America’s been blessed by the good lord with all kinds of resources. Food, wealth, cracker barrels, whittlin’ wood — you name it, you can find it in America. But gosh darn it, if there’s one thing we could use more of, it’s folks with backbone. Folks who’ll stand up when other folks are being put down. Folks like Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Why, I reckon I ain’t seen a woman with her spirit since my old grandma fought off a pack of bluetick hounds trying to get at her plate of biscuits and gravy. Etc etc etc.

Incidentally, there’s a new postscript to last night’s postscript about the Dobson/Thompson contretemps. According to yet another Dobson spokesman:

[A] declaration of Thompson’s religion will not be enough for Dobson, who is viewed as being widely influential with evangelical Christians, a key Republican voting bloc.

“We were pleased to learn from his spokesperson that Sen. Thompson professes to be a believer,” said Nima Reza, a Dobson spokesman. “Thompson hasn’t clearly communicated his religious faith, and many evangelical Christians might find this a barrier to supporting him.”

Exit question: Evangelism or bust?
