Scientists sculpt "Thinker" ... 20 microns high

For no reason, really. They claim they did it to demonstrate the potential of tiny biosensors but I think it was just to show how mad their skillz are. It’s like a game of h.o.r.s.e.: some punk built one that was 40 microns high so they had to come back with an around-the-back, through-the-legs, 20-micron double-handed jam.

I’d call it “awesome” except that for a science article to really be awesome, it needs either (a) a Flash graphic or (b) some military application. For example, awesome. And, via Defense Tech, double awesome.

Taking those two awesome links together, it looks like we’ll need the CCLR ready for combat in about 250 million years, when the Middle East finally merges with the United States.

I’m not sure DARPA can get it done that soon.
