Women on Capitol Hill sob uncontrollably in the presence of Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton returned to Washington DC Thursday. As AP detailed yesterday, she strangely used the occasion of Sen. Harry Reid’s portrait unveiling to air a grievance over so-called “fake news” and called for legislation to combat it.

Isn’t it a little tacky to use a speech that’s supposed to be about honoring your colleague on his big retirement day to whine about your big, humiliating loss from four weeks ago?

Did I miss something?  Was yesterday Festivus or something?

Be that as it may, there was a remarkable display on Capitol Hill as the former Secretary of State walked the corridors of the Capitol dome. Female staffers flooded the area sobbing their eyes out and blubbering their gratitude to the multi-millionaires for running for president.

And, yes, it’s your lucky day: It was all captured on video

The Washnigton Examiner picked up the scene:

Clinton was in the company of former vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine, a Democratic senator from Virginia. Clinton spoke at Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid’s portrait unveiling in the Russell Senate Office Building.

“This is not exactly the speech at the Capitol I hoped to be giving after the election,” Clinton said. “But after a few weeks of taking selfies in the woods, I thought it would be a good idea to come out. And I’m very grateful to Harry for inviting me to be a part of this celebration.”

And this concludes your “Feel Good Story” of the day.
