Senator says UFO whistleblower revelations track with briefings

A couple of weeks ago, we discussed the claims of a US intelligence community whistleblower named David Grusch. The former combat commander and intelligence analyst said that the United States government has a beyond-top-secret program that is in possession of multiple “craft” or partial craft that are of “non-human” origin. He further asserted that this program has been going on for decades and it has been kept hidden not just from the American public, but from any oversight and budgetary control by Congress.

Many of us weren’t sure what to make of those claims. Grusch certainly has the credentials to be in a position to know if anyone does. But the claims were just so… out there (both literally and figuratively) that he’s got to be crazy, right? Well, perhaps not. He already said that he provided testimony to both AARO and some congressional members in a classified setting. And now Senator Josh Hawley of Missouris has been asked about the story. Surprisingly, he told Wired that Grusch’s story tracks “pretty close” to what he’s been told in previous briefings. So could it be true? (Newsweek)

Senator Josh Hawley said a recent UFO whistleblower’s report is “pretty close” to information he received in a briefing after the United States shot down a spy balloon and other unidentified flying objects this past winter.

The Missouri Republican said he wasn’t surprised, but he was “disturbed” by David Grusch’s claims that not only has the government found proof of but also covered up several “non-human” crafts and remains.

Grusch, a 36-year-old Airforce veteran, told NewsNation earlier this month that a top-secret military program found fully intact UFOs, or “unidentified aerial phenomena” (UAPs). Grusch, who previously worked as the National Reconnaissance Office’s representative to the UAP Task Force, said that the U.S. covered up several “non-human origin” crafts and “dead pilots.”

So Hawley said that he “wasn’t surprised” but he was “disturbed.” How in the world is anyone not surprised by this? I was surprised, and I’m “the UFO guy” around here. Unless, of course, he really had already heard about this during classified hearings.

Then again, Hawley seemed to be bouncing around between a few different incidents when he said that. Some of the references he made clearly involved the Chinese spy balloon and some other “UAP” that we shot down. Grusch’s tale involves something else entirely. We should also point out that Hawley specified that he was “disturbed” about ongoing reports of UFOs showing up in our restricted airspace over sensitive military and nuclear power facilities. That’s fair enough.

Having Hawley give this sort of semi-endorsement would appear to lend a bit more credibility to Grusch’s story. But his almost casual attitude is still somewhat surprising, at least to me.

Hey, this guy over here says we’ve got dead aliens in a freezer somewhere. He’s nuts, right?’

Naw. That tracks with what I’ve heard.’

Okay then. Aliens it is. But perhaps not literal extraterrestrials. As we discussed previously, Grusch has refused to invoke the “ET” word. He sticks with “non-human intelligence” because he claims that we can’t identify where (or even when) they came from originally. Stay tuned for more on that.

But seriously, I’m still not entirely sure what to make of all of this and will wait to see if anyone else comes forward to produce some substantial evidence or at least corroborating testimony from someone who has allegedly seen the craft and the beings firsthand. (Grusch admits that he’s seen photos and documents, but never gained access to the materials himself.) And I’m saying this as a guy who has seen some UFOs firsthand. But I’ve never seen anything you would describe as a “being” or a “creature.” That just takes the story to another level.

Also, you can call me a cynic if you like, but I still can’t rule out 100% the possibility that somebody fed all of this information to Grusch as some form of misinformation. Why? Who knows? Perhaps as a distraction from other things that the government is up to. And they’ve been doing plenty lately that they probably wish we would be distracted from.
