During his appearance on Fox & Friends this morning–a program that has vocally taken the side of Team Trump and criticized McConnell — Gingrich appeared to defend McConnell from Trump attacks and lay some of the blame on the lack of leadership from the White House. While he mostly tried to lay blame on the Democrats who did not vote on any effort to repeal and replace Obamacare, he mostly said that the blame game between Capitol Hill GOP and the White House was “goofy,” and also calling it a “collective failure,” (though we wonder if he regrets using a term so closely associated with socialism.)
