Rubio’s big CPAC wimp-out on immigration
We have an answer! Rubio talked. He didn’t include his immigration reform ideas. He apparently didn’t even utter the word “immigration.” … I guess when the conservatives don’t work for (amnesty supporter) Rupert Murdoch, they are a tougher sell. … Prediction: Rubio’s chicken-out won’t stop the MSM from portraying him as a profile in courage on the issue. …

Rubio typical politician. Sad he could have been a contender.

That seems unfair. It’s not like the issue is on the front burner or anything. In fact, as understand it Congress won’t be considering any major, all encompassing, comprehensive immigration reform proposal until, like, two weeks from now.

Excellent. By the time 2016 rolls around the Republican party’s only viable candidate will by a poster of Ronald Reagan, which Joe Biden will defeat 332/206.

He’s no less Machiavellian than Obama.

While I enjoy listening to Senator Rubio speak, and agree with his positions more than I disagee, I can’t help but feel that he’s a Republican version of Barack Obama.
This line from his Wikipedia biography jumps out at me:
Maybe that’s what the Republicans need to do, i.e. nominate a telegenic candidate with few accomplishments in life for that “blank slate” effect. It obviously worked for the Dems – twice.

I think the poster might do better than any actual candidate the GOP trots out for electoral slaughter in 2016.

The GOP brand jumped the shark in 2012. There is no compelling reason to invest in the future of a political Edsel.
Tripwhipper on March 16, 2013 at 2:14 PM
Are you sure it’s the GOP that jumped or the electorate? Maybe a combination? Regardless, the Dems have this thing figured out and we haven’t the foggiest notion how to win against them short of co-opting all their ideas. But that kind of defeats the purpose.
I still think the GOP should just roll over and let the Dems do whatever they want. What difference does it make?

It won’t hide the fact that he’s a treasonous worm, either, working for the interests of aliens and against American sovereignty, the Constitution, and the very notion of the nation-state.
