Dems’ CPAC gotcha fizzles — and breaks the law
Judd, a likely candidate for Senate against Mitch McConnell (R-KY), plays the First Lady in the film. It portrays a North Korean terrorist attack on Washington that results in the president being taken hostage.
Judd supporters hoped her on-screen death would make for some viral video when played before the audience at annual conservative gathering, and promised BuzzFeed a recording of the event, however it came out.
[It's a violation of copyright law to record a film in a theater, even briefly, BuzzFeed mentions in its e-mail -- Ed]
The video that resulted shows a jerky and out-of-focus scene from Olympus Has Fallen and records audio of the small CPAC audience sounding unmoved.

once again, liberals wrongly assuming everyone else is as ignorant and emotionally twisted as they are.
… and yet, if they had gotten even one snide remark on tape, buzzfeed would have been all over it.

WTF are you talking about? A link would go a long way.

yep the Citizens United people told everybody – about 100 of us, mostly college kids – in this room that anybody with recording devices would be asked to leave immediately because the company was worried about the security of their film…so of course 100 conservative kids behave (and mostly loved the movie) but some liberal dbag tries to make a story out of nothing while violating the clear warnings they were given multiple times – and we are the bad guys??
Re: racism panel, same exact thing, estimates are there are EIGHT THOUSAND people here for CPAC and one dumbass who may or may not have been a plant – at one event – means we’re allll raaaaacists?

Are we ignoring the guy at the huffinglue post that said Obama should turn the army against his political opposition? I just made that up – see how easy that is? But, the day I do find someone who says that, I will freely associate all 60+M Obama voters with that remark. You’d have no problem with that, right?

So somebody stupid said something offensive and the left is trying to exploit it and you are helping them. Go eff yourself.

you mean the crony capitalism law that should be repealed?

looks like we are going to war with NK. Hoolywood has been pushing it for the last year or so.
unseen on March 16, 2013 at 8:50 AM
They probably should have learned how to hold their device before trying that.

Thank you for that link, triple. Because your little google link turns up this. I guess, unlike some people, we don’t vet attendees through the thought police before they show up.
GWB on March 16, 2013 at 8:54 AM
What would you like to say about it? Some guy shows up and says something outrageous to try to make conservatives look bad. The only thing to figure out is if he’s just a fringe kook or a phony plant.
forest on March 16, 2013 at 8:59 AM
You’re just not very bright.
22044 on March 16, 2013 at 9:11 AM
Nice, jerkwad. You come here, ask why we’re not already talking about what you want to talk about, and then tell us to google it? You’re not serious about anything other than moral preening.
Anyway. Last time I checked, it wasn’t the policy of Hotair to discuss the latest from TPM, LGF, and MediaMatters.
Jeff Weimer on March 16, 2013 at 9:12 AM
Check out the link above. He’s a fringe kook. Stormfront level kookery.
GWB on March 16, 2013 at 9:27 AM
Actually, Jeff, I’m glad he sent the google link instead of just trying to send us off to a single article. It allowed me to scroll down and find LGF’s exposure of who this guy is. You gotta love it when they shoot themselves in the foot.
GWB on March 16, 2013 at 9:29 AM
It’s the smarm. If he’s going to level that, he needs to back it up.
Anyway, watched the video (not at TPM), and it was all shock from the audience rather than applause. Jerkwad needs to stop reaching, and then being a self-righteous jerk about it. It’s obvious he grabbed his talking points and ran over here before even watching the video.
Jeff Weimer on March 16, 2013 at 10:23 AM
Won’t disagree with any of that. Just glad he was silly enough to post it in a way that so easily allowed one to see through the smoke and mirrors.
