Why canceled White House tours are sinking Obama on the sequester

So he’s confirming that is was essentially just a petty, vindictive move? Of course, Obama probably never liked the great unwashed visiting his house…gods never do.

I urge President Obama to stop trying to deflect blame, stop trying to justify the unjustifiable, and reopen the doors of the White House to the American people.”

with Carney saying that the cancellations were the White House’s decision and Obama telling Stephanopoulos that it was the Secret Service’s idea in order to avoid furloughing any of their officers.

I’ve read this quote in several articles and it still makes no sense to me. The Secret Service willing reduced the amount of their activities in order to avoid furloughing officers. But, if the Secret Service reduces the amount of their activities, wouldn’t that reduce the number of work hours and thus permit/call for a furloughing of officers?

You have to think of this from Obama’s position.

Obama assumes all Americans want to come to HIS HOUSE (The White House). He assumes all Americans come to Washington DC to see HIM.

What better way of punishing American than not allowing them to come to His house, and see him.
