Muslim Brotherhood’s statement on women exactly what you’d expect
“A woman needs to be confined within a framework that is controlled by the man of the house,” Osama Yehia Abu Salama, a Brotherhood family expert, said of the group’s general approach, speaking in a recent seminar for women training to become marriage counselors. Even if a wife were beaten by her husband, he advised, “Show her how she had a role in what happened to her.”
“If he is to blame,” Mr. Abu Salama added, “she shares 30 percent or 40 percent of the fault.”…
In a statement Wednesday on a proposed United Nations declaration to condemn violence against women, the Brotherhood issued a list of objections, which formally laid out its views on women for the first time since it came to power.
In its statement, the Brotherhood said that wives should not have the right to file legal complaints against their husbands for rape, and husbands should not be subject to the punishments meted out for the rape of a stranger.

And the Left just loves these guys….

Not a whole lotta nuance in what this guy is saying.
Any thoughts, liberals? You’re big fans of nuance.
Or are you OK with “garden variety” muslim violence on women?

I think they deserve a few million more taxpayer dollars for this.

Obama’s brothers have it made.
“It’s just a different culture, rubes of the right. You need to get out more often, get a passport and such, bible thumpers and gun-clingers, not to mention cousin-humpers, truck drivers…”
Yeppers, every time the leftists are for tyranny.
I can’t wait for the trolls to defend this.

So, other than the fact that obama is muslim, exactly WHY do liberals love islam so much?

Another caveat for Jihadist appeasers to say “Not all Muslims. . .”

Waiting for the physically impossible is an act of insanity.

War on Women in the real world.

They sure are quick to defend Islam by saying things like “Not all muslim men beat their wives.”
But if someone gets a hold of a firearm and kills someone with it, then clearly all gun owners are a danger to themselves and others.

Fixed For Biden

Because Islam invokes strict controls on society, and everyone (within the defined groups..male, female, infidel, dhimmi, etc.) is taught to follow the specific rules.
There is no appeal, no penance, no community service to work off your transgression. It is a finite world of rules and consequences, and for people who don’t have a clue what to do with their lives or how to provide for themselves, it becomes the lifelong mother and father.
In other words, responsibility is non-existent, and not required. All you need to do is comply.

Yet liberals love Islamists.
Birds of a feather and all that …
darwin on March 15, 2013 at 2:59 PM
Statists love Islam because Muslims will vote for the most powerful government possible.
Both the left and their Islamic counterparts both plan on being the one that rules over the other in the end. In the short term they are allies bent on destroying all who stand in their way of power.
If all you want is power over others you support that which supports your power and fight that which threatens your power. That is why jihaddis are not a problem but the Tea Party are terrorists to Democrats. Jihaddis vote Democrat and the Tea Party doesn’t vote Democrat.

Pretty much what you would expect from the culture of first cousin marriage.

I’m confused. Since the first statement in the UN Declaration of Human Rights is “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.” (and this goes against Sharia law), how is it that countries that follow Sharia are still in the UN? Shouldn’t they be removed?
Katerina on March 15, 2013 at 5:06 PM
Because tolerance.
Washington Nearsider on March 15, 2013 at 5:18 PM
Because the UN has about as much interest in freedom and equality as the gay-’rights’ movement. (in other words, squat.) In that regard they are quite possibly the most toothless organization in existence.
