House GOP pessimistic over immigration-reform chances
Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho, sounded a downright pessimistic note on the prospects of comprehensive immigration reform during a panel on the subject at the 2013 Conservative Political Action Conference.
The tea-party favorite, who is a leader on immigration-reform efforts in the House, lashed out at Democrats for allowing labor unions to obstruct 2007 legislation, warning it could happen again.
“The Democratic Party has a problem right now. They have to pick between their two favorite children, they have to pick between the Hispanic groups and the labor unions,” Labrador said. “Every time they have to pick [between] those two groups they pick labor groups. Every single time.”

Hopefully they listened to Trump’s warning about this.

Wouldn’t the union thugs want illegal aliens to get amnesty so they can pay union thug dues? It seems the union thugs have lost a great number of members paying?

I hope. National elections have already become irrelevant, one more shamnesty and the Democrats have their unbeatable majority.

That would be my guess too.
The gop is getting pressure, so they make it sound like their standing their ground and then at the last minute, they dust themselves off, use their knuckles to wipe the blood off their lip….and cave, saying “we got the best deal we could…we’ll get ‘em next time”. See Obamacare, debt ceiling, etc. etc.

I feel like I’m in bizarro world. We are rooting for labor unions to stop the Republicans from passing amnesty and putting the final stake in the heart of the country.

Mexican illegals are paying union dues now.
Take the “Code Welder Union” main one in Tulsa Ok..
The union boss’s enable the Mexican illegals via their work and the cartels coyotes on the job site help to have both fake U.S.id’s and fake union shop work time records.
They then allow the illegla Mexican welders to work high pressure pipe line joint weld work, they collect union dues, they company collects SS, IRS. Then when the IRS/SS people send a “no match” letter the construction company puts that money in abance until it can be cut back tot he company legal.
In fact often many jobs have so many illegals on the job the union allows the head coyote to be the yard boss and make sure every thing runs smooth. That way the coyote can collect the “jump the fence: montly payments at the gate. If a Mexican illegal is not up to date on his fence jumping payments he is not allowed on the job site.

An extreme deficit of law enforcement exists, until that debt is paid movement on immigration will be against the will of the people.
Illegals have to go home or the resentment will never go away.
