Gingrich: “I don’t know what the purpose of CPAC is anymore”
On Laura Ingraham’s Wednesday radio show, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said he is not clear on what the point of the Conservative Political Action Conference is anymore. …
“I don’t know what the purpose of CPAC is anymore,” Gingrich said. “I’m going to speak there early on Saturday and of course, we’re showing a few movies for Citizens United that we’ve done — one on Reagan and one on Pope John Paul II. But CPAC at one time was sort of the militant wing of the conservative movement. It was a place where Ronald Reagan gave his famous speech about bold colors, not pale pastels. I don’t know what CPAC is today. It’s huge. It draws lots and lots of people, particularly students. It gets a fair amount of attention in the media. But I don’t know how they define who gets to come in and who doesn’t get to come in. And my sense is the board is not very open and not very clear about, you know whether its personality decisions or what they’re thinking.”

One purpose is to avoid Gingrich’s speeches

William F. Buckley Jr. and CPAC’s Mission
The most alarming single danger to the American political system lies in the fact that an identifiable team of Fabian operators is bent on controlling both our major political parties under the sanction of such fatuous and unreasoned slogans as “national unity,” “middle-of-the-road,” “progressivism,” and“bipartisanship”.

And now we can add ‘No Labels’ to the list, and whatever Rove’s group is called.

That makes two of us, Newt. I figure when who doesn’t speak makes more news than what your speakers say, you’ve got issues.

It used to be about restoring the nation, now it seems to be about restoring the pocket books of a few specific people.
Those interested in accomplishing the mission of any bureaucracy will be overridden by those whose only concern is being the bureaucracy.
In other words, teachers become servants to union thugs.

I was thinking something similar. I don’t know what the purpose of the GOP is anymore.

With the help of the little useful idiots or deliberate infiltrators it is being repurposed to be the second progressive party. Everything they do now days is intended to create more government dependents who will vote for progressive candidates. The target is probably getting America to 25% conservatives, the rest progressives of differing degrees.

The purpose ? To make money for the organizers. It’s called ‘profit’ and it’s the American way.
