The White House is right, Bob Woodward will probably regret this
What Woodward is alleging is an outrage, but his journalistic colleagues will be able to find false equivalencies in which to take shelter and avoid confronting the White House over this inexcusable behavior. Who came up with the sequester and when does not enjoy quite the scandalous magnitude that the Watergate break in did. Secondly, Woodward will need powerful and influential allies in traditional media to speak up for his integrity. He will not find them.
When Roger Ailes and David Axelrod met secretly in a closed steakhouse in 2009 to negotiate the terms of a cease fire between Fox News and the Obama administration, the confrontation had been ongoing for months with few journalists displaying much discomfort with the situation. Anita Dunn and Valerie Jarrett insisted that the Fox News was hopelessly biased and should not be viewed as a journalistic outlet. Axelrod himself had regularly said that Fox “is not really a news station.” He now serves as a paid contributor for MSNBC.
These were not just words – the White House backed up their anti-Fox sentiment with actions. A study conducted by Smart Politics for the University of Minnesota released last month found that the president has called on Fox News reporters at press conferences less than any other broadcast news outlet. Only POLITICO, USA Today, and the Washington Post were called on less.

Leftists, in the plural, starting with their Lilliputian in Chief, and his azz-lickers. May they all suffocate from what they eat, not Beluga caviar. It is his sh*t, fools.

Matt “Genius” Yglesias is a subpar member of the Juicebox mafia…
reflect on that…

True but all thinking people know this administration DOES engage in Watergate level scandal before breakfast. Woodward also knows this and the WH knows he knows. Let’s sit back and watch what happens as a former hero of the left and legend of journalism has his reputation stripped from him and his life’s work pissed on and forgotten. Who knows what revelations will be exposed once Woodward has nothing left to lose.

Yep. It will be a total accident when he falls up several flights of stairs.
Not that the MSM would cover such an “accident.”

That they resurrected Nixon’s reputation, to down Woodward’s, is telling how frantic all the weasels are.
I can’t get enough of the Yglesias summation. It is one of the greatest Freudean slips in this century.

I have no idea why these so called bhopress is so bent out of shape that bho/team would threaten anyone if they dare challenge them? bho/team are thugs and if they thought they could get away with it, they would put a ‘horse head’ in the bed of those who don’t go along with them just to make a point?

This will be a wonderful book title
I can see Ann Coulter “I told you Nixon was innocent, just like McCarthy”.

Nixon is smiling.
Carter too.
Obama makes them clean and 2nd worst.

Try wandering thru the Mediaite comments.
One of the posters there is claiming that Woodward (and Bernstein) repeatedly broke the law while they were working the Watergate story. I lived thru that story 40 years ago, and this is the very first time I have ever heard that claim.
And plenty of the others are desperately trying to paint Woodward as irrelevant, even though he’s currently the Associate Editor of the Washington Post.

Soon they’ll let him go “for being too old and feeble”. Too bad the election is over. The left discriminate against old people. I love the spectacle to no end. The Yglesias Freudean slip made my day.

Oceania has always been at war with Bob Woodward.

El Rushbo said Woodward will get his comeuppance when he’s standing in front of Obama’s death panels. I know he was being sardonic but it’s a chilling thought.

Mmmmmm, delicious blue-on-blue action. I especially like the Nixon masks. Mmmm, yeah.

Bob Woodward is the new Sarah Palin to the Left. (Palin was once the darling of Democrats too, when she went after the Corrupt Bastards Club in Alaska and sent the old Republican governor packing.)

Unless the Washington Post fires Bob Woodward over this, which I think is about as likely as Barack Obama admitting that any government program is useless, this guy is wrong. Woodward still has the biggest and most prestigious platform in journalism from which to write and speak. Even today the Post is giving him plenty of space for pushback on all of this. The pipsqueaks in the Juicebox Mafia nipping at his heels today only magnify his stature. He can get on CNN and any other TV news outlet any time he wants.
I’m sure the guys at Mediaite want this to be a death match between New and Old Media and want to believe that New Media will win this one. But they won’t. Woodward has ways to get information that these JV journos cannot even dream of.

See the Ambinder quote. LOL Didn’t take long.
And it would appear that Fox has been drifting lefward ever since, although I wouldn’t really know since I rarely watch Fox or any other cable news outlet.

I think LBJ was far worse than Nixon. That’s where the warranted cynicism on the part of the public first came along in a huge way.
