Bloomberg on new gun laws: “The time is coming”
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg emerged Wednesday from a meeting on guns with Vice President Joe Biden more confident that Washington is moving toward action on new legislation.
“I walk away pleased, optimistic, I’m not under any delusion that this is a slam dunk or that it is already in the bag,” he said outside the White House following a West Wing meeting with the vice president and his son, Beau Biden, the attorney general of Delaware. “I think it is something that the time is coming. And if not now, it’ll be later. The difference is there are gonna be an awful lot more people murdered between now and later.”

If I didn’t think the NYPD would go ape sh** I’d have one of the kids scare the crap out of Bloomy with one of the cowboy style pump action cork pop guns the family picked up on vacation at Knott’s.
LOL

Am I the only one who gets the feeling he’s hoping for more murder in the future?
Darksean on February 28, 2013 at 8:54 AM
I look forward to watching all this fall down around the people that have worked so, so, hard in building it up.
Gatsu on February 28, 2013 at 8:55 AM
What is he hoping for another massacre to further their anti-liberty agenda?
Recall what Former Governor Ed Rendell said:

No.
Galt2009 on February 28, 2013 at 8:57 AM
I wish this turd would just go away. There should be a law to prevent rich morons from buying political positions. It just really bugs me that he thinks his wealth and being the mayor of a city allows him to recreate the world in his image. These men that would be gods, really irk me.
Dr. Frank Enstine on February 28, 2013 at 8:59 AM
Well isn’t that special?
The Dear Liar regime has already admitted that it’s freedom constricting con job won’t do jack about stopping these massacres.
Doesn’t that sound like he knows that it’ll take more to eventually reach their goal of CONFISCATION?
Exit Question: What’s with the gun grabbers going for the old ‘bait and switch’ on their agenda? Clearly they want Registration (i.e. you needing their permission to have one of your basic human rights).
What would that do for those massacre cases – it’s usually well known who perpetrates these crimes, so what is the point of it?
Galt2009 on February 28, 2013 at 9:05 AM
I said it before but, back sometime in the 90s I was listening to a Boston late night talk show and there was an anti-gun freak on that was asking for terminally ill people to go on a mass shooting in exchange for their families being taken care of. He also said that there was people in his group that were willing to give their lives by going on mass shooting sprees in order to further the anti-gun agenda. Ever since then I get all tinfoil hat when I see a mass killing that involves people that are seeing a mental health professional. The Aurora shooter claims his doctor programmed him to do it using drugs and hypnosis. I’m not claiming this is true. Only that that late night interview comes to mind when these things happen. The anti-gun people crave mass murder in order to eliminate guns and I wonder why? What is their real agenda?
Dr. Frank Enstine on February 28, 2013 at 9:07 AM
The time is coming Bloomberg, but not in the way you meant.

Insanity reins supreme:
Why do these Proppressive control freaks want to take that option from the rest of us?
Don’t they believe in Liberty?
(Yes, I just said that as a laugh line – they never believed in liberty, they’ve been just faking it up until now.)
Galt2009 on February 28, 2013 at 9:15 AM
Yeah hey Midget Mayor…
you’re pushing a line that will not be erased..
I welcome the confrontation.

Its neck and neck on who I’m the most tired of: Barry or Doomberg.

Do you remember the Kevin Spacey movie The Life of David Gale?
That perfectly illustrates the length the Left will go to get their way.

Socmodfiscon on February 28, 2013 at 9:36 AM
I’m not sure about the conspiracy aspects of it, but It seems like most of the massacre murderers are Leftists..
The main thing I’m looking is why on earth are the Proppressives fighting tooth and nail to keep adults from being able to defend themselves?
They set up those ridiculous ‘gun-free’ zones In the first place and in some areas expanding them and they refuse to let people conceal carry or have armed guards in schools.
Now why is that?

Does that moron Bloomberg really believe that what he’s doing is not advocacy?
He still hasn’t answered Jason Mattera’s question about when he’ll be giving up his armed guards because guns are so bad.
PetecminMd on February 28, 2013 at 9:46 AM
Because, are you ready for it?
They are pro-life! It’s the same reason they are for the most part against capital punishment. I’m not making that up for a laugh. I’ve heard it from the lips of many liberals here in the fracked up liberal state of MA.
Dr. Frank Enstine on February 28, 2013 at 9:51 AM
Let’s try that again.
Liberals in general have convinced themselves that they hold the key to Utopia. All that is required is for every other human to ignore reality and join the groupthink. Since that will never happen on it’s own, force is the only other option, and government is their enforcer.
antipc on February 28, 2013 at 9:53 AM
And I present exhibit A in the proof of that theory is this utterances by DiFi in support of her ‘Assault Weapon’ Scam:
You see, It’s not about you and I having the basic human right of being able to defend ourselves from Tyrants and Criminals.
No, it’s about our refusal of the pleasure of life or something like that…
Galt2009 on February 28, 2013 at 10:03 AM
He has been in the NY/DC bubble too long, He does not realize that is not America. Cops and cameras are not on every block.
Doesn’t he have some syrofoam to ban or something?
NickelAndDime on February 28, 2013 at 10:05 AM
Yes, I can readily understand the dichotomy of Leftist ‘Thought’.
To them, everyone is equal or some other nonsense in that you and I aren’t any better than the common criminal or petty tyrant, and therefore we somehow don’t have the right to defend ourselves from such evil people…
Oh did I say evil people? I really meant Evil people..
Galt2009 on February 28, 2013 at 10:07 AM
You got that right you midget tyrant.
darwin on February 28, 2013 at 10:11 AM
At some point, Bloomberg has crossed the line into Evil.
Socratease on February 28, 2013 at 10:47 AM
We both know you can’t get guns away from criminals, and you can’t keep them away from madmen; the ONLY people you and your ilk can PUNISH are the innocent CITIZENS, the ones who are already obeying the law.
So I have but one question for Mayor Bloomberg:
Do you have an estimate, even a very rough number will do, as to just how many innocent American CITIZENS YOU are prepared to KILL to achieve your little gun-free-world fantasy? Any number?
clippermiami on February 28, 2013 at 11:21 AM
Besides the typical ignorance of noun/pronoun disagreement, note the specific to “self defense”. I hear that a lot from these anti-gun types – a total unwillingness to use SELF-defense. I would bet dollars to donuts that if someone presented her the scenario of a violent attack with an armed law enforcement officer coming to her aid and shooting the perp that she would be all hunky dory with that. It isn’t typically an opposition to violence but rather opposition to personal responsibility from which it logically follows that liberals/democrats are more anti-gun than conservatives*.
*the omission of “republicans” was intentional – I don’t know what the he** they believe anymore, if anything at all. All the squish has confused me.
