McCain, Graham praise Obama on immigration
Two leading Republican senators pushing changes to the nation’s immigration laws have met with President Barack Obama and say they’re convinced of his commitment to signing comprehensive immigration legislation. …
Speaking to reporters after meeting with the president Tuesday at the White House, McCain and Graham said they believe Obama understands the need for strong border-security measures.

Yes, and Obama has recently demonstrated how seriously he takes America’s security by ordering the release of thousands of illegal alien criminals back into American communities, so that they can resume their victimization of Americans.
No doubt McCain and Graham think that was peachy keen also.
Friggin’ idiots.

Only the LSM can believe they are “leading” Republican senators.
This is why the GOP is losing.

I see rubio isnt going to these things. As long as he doesnt support a bill, it’s dead

I certainly don’t want to defend Juan or Grahmnasty but the title is more propoganda from the Administration Press. There are no quotes from either senator lavishing compliments on dear leader. Just more media scyophancy!

Every time I read an article on *comprehensive immigration reform*, no matter what site it’s on, the comments are always almost all against the idea. Where is all the supposed support for this?
lynncgb on February 27, 2013 at 8:56 AM
They praise Obama as he does a mass release of illegals from detention? Just shut up, RINOs. SHUT UP!
WannabeAnglican on February 27, 2013 at 9:00 AM
Suckers. What did you offer? A “promise” to build a fence..crack down on benefits for illegals..demand employers verify status?
Yeah…they’ll start doing that next year.
Thats like a sign outside a bar saying
Free beer tomorrow”. It’s a joke. How many time do they expect someone to fall for it?
Mimzey on February 27, 2013 at 9:06 AM
Yes, because referring to illegal aliens as undocumented workers shows such fidelity to the Rule of Law.

Please. You know the people commenting are uneducated rubes from flyover country who just get their talking points from Limbaugh and Fox News. /
But seriously, I usually err on the side of well, even if the Republican is lousy, it’s better than having the Dem hold that seat. This is politics, after all, and a certain amount of pragmatism is to be expected (even if I don’t agree with it). Not with these two, though. Dems could take both seats, and I think the GOP would be better off.

I’m starting to really hate Republicans. I mean REALLY hate them. Like 1% as much as I hate Dems.

I generally like the WSJ, but it ran a lengthy article about Graham and immigration yesterday, and I was hoping to read about some substantive points Graham and the GOP were putting forth on the subject. Instead, all it seemed to suggest was how awesomely reasonable Graham is on the subject, containing little more than a series of anecdotal encounters suggesting that South Carolinian conservatives are nothing but narrow-minded, cold-hearted, racist birthers.
Phuck ‘em and Graham.

That figures.

Not just illegal aliens. Illegal alien criminals. These people being released from detention — as a result of the sequester that has not even happened yet — are not just foreigners who are in the U.S. illegally. They are foreigners who are in the U.S. illegally and who have been caught by law enforcement engaging in crimes in the U.S. Crimes like burglary and car theft and drug dealing.
And in a cheap political ploy, these foreign criminals are now being released back into our communities, to prey upon Americans once again, without having to worry about being detained or inconvenienced by ICE. All so that Obama can scare the American public into allowing him to continue his insane and ruinous spending spree.

Actually, the amnesty plan that McCain and Graham are pushing was created by RUBIO, McCain, Graham, obama and the Gang of 8. The GOP knows that their amnesty plan is unpopular with Republicans, and they are desperate to insulate Rubio from the fallout – BUT do not be fooled – RUBIO is behind this bill 100% – he is the key player. It’s all about optics – Rubio is an opportunist – he wants to be president, and he and the GOP know that the optics of his behind-the-scenes work with obama and the treasonous amnesty gang would damage his prospects.

Graham even voted for Hagel, didn’t he? He must be feeling very bold considering he’s up for election in 2014. Cornyn has basically been voting with Ted Cruz on everything lately. Latest I’ve read about both is that neither is likely to have a primary challenge, but Lindsey must think it’s a done deal.

The reason the GOP is losing is BECAUSE turkeys like this are in the GOP leadership (and are, indeed, representative of the GOP leadership as a whole).
I’m already there. These guys have just utterly, totally failed us in every conceivable way. That people are still making excuses for them boggles my mind. I guess inertia is hard to overcome.

We are going to finally build the dang fence!, Juan McCain
Sure we are., BHO

Maybe Carolinian’s should sit out the 2014 Graham election, If there isn’t a better alternative to him.
ChunkyLover on February 27, 2013 at 9:49 AM
Graham will likely have at least one primary challenger (state senator Lee Bright).
If he isn’t successfully primaried than SC truly has the dumbest conservatives in the nation.
