With Gibbs and Axelrod, MSNBC is now a bona fide organ of state propaganda
The cable channel that flies under the banner of NBC News is now all but a bona fide organ of state propaganda, an information channel that speaks in the same dominant voice as the folks running the government–and tries to mask what it is up to.
I didn’t plan on getting all free-press-and-democracy amped up about the hirings until I saw Axelrod with Andrea Mitchell last week in his first appearance on MSNBC. It was Echo Chamber Politics 101 with Axelrod characterizing some Republicans in Congress as irrationally wanting the draconian cuts of the sequester –as “dangerous” as that thinking is. …
“Remember,” he says, “the cuts put into place were so odious it was thought no rational legislator, no rational government official, would allow it to happen.” …
What is this if not exactly the spin Team Obama seemed to be working on all week? …
Now the message can go forth from the president’s mouth straight to our ears–via Axelrod, the so-called analyst, and MSNBC, the so-called news channel.

I can’t get over how obvious they are about it, either. At least Fox says it’s fair and balanced…MSNBC basically copies an Obama campaign slogan, then hires people from his campaign to tout his talking points. Journalism has been dead in this country for years, and it’s almost comforting to know that at least at MSNBC they’re not pretending otherwise.

I fear that this dramatic departure from the old format will scare off their viewer.

“Bona fide organ of state propaganda” is a bit much. They might resemble that with Democrats in power, but that’ll change the moment a Republican wins the White House.
They’re just a major wing of the DNC.

Sounds a lot like the ‘NEW and IMPROVED‘ Republican Party.
Seriously, now that the GOP is propagandizing obama’s agenda 24/7 (amnesty, SS marriage, gun-grabbing, etc.), it’s hard to decide exactly where the biggest obama-organs reside, in obama’s state-run media, or in the Republican Party.

As is all of the media.
Don’t be coy and try to isolate MSNBC as being unique.
It’s just a matter of being more clear and obvious about the bias that they all demonstrate.

MSNBC was put together as a pedal-to-the-metal propaganda operation to be the ideological mirror opposite of the parody version of Fox news that exists in the ignorant heads of leftists, most of whom never even watch the FNC.

Fox got too cozy with ex Bush administration officials such as Rove and Perino, but that after or at the end of his Presidency. Even ABC waited to hire Stephenapolis, but MSNBC hires Obama’s two biggest messengers in the beginning of his second term agenda. They really are a blessing in disguise, a red siren for media bias that even the apathetic American public can’t miss, and one which the rest of the liberal media find increasingly difficult to deny.
I mean seriously, it’s one thing to push an ideological agenda, but to be in the pocket of the powers that be while calling yourself a media watch dog? Corporatism and Statism under one roof, natural allies.
What would MSNBC do were the Republicans to lose the House? I suppose they would still find a way to blame Republicans, or outright lie that the world is now perfect and cancer has been cured, but even the drones who watch them will think something is up.
