IIRC, the last government shutdown made people who were responsible for themselves and their families but not really following politics and government realize how little the government actually did.

The idiots on Capitol Hill will avoid a shutdown for this simple reason. Can’t let the masses see how little they need the pols in their lives.

The sequester happens and no one notices.

“OMG! Whatever will happen if the mean Republicans don’t cave and $2 million is taken out of the National Drug Intelligence Center’s $20 million budget?????”

For the love of God, put the F’ing crack pipe down and quit pretending we are all stupid. The sequestrations 83 Billions dollars amounts to 10 percent of an already passed and approved 30 percent automatic Federal spending increase. We are being lied to by everyone involved, the sequestration is nothing less than Smoke and Mirrors Kabuki Theater Rope-a-Dope to allow both the Democrats and the Republicans to increase spending by 20 percent with no political repercussions.
