Four people, including an American, arrested in Benghazi for preaching Christianity
Of course, it bears observing that it was not just President Obama who backed Libya’s Islamists in the cashiering of Qaddafi, who was then an American ally supplying what our government had described as vital intelligence about Libya’s legions of anti-American terrorists. The Republican Beltway establishment also enthusiastically supported Obama’s war, led by Senator John McCain, who called Benghazi’s jihadists “my heroes.”
Oh well, like the president said at the U.N., “The future must not belong to these who suppress the Gospel” — oh, no, wait … looks like I may have that wrong.

Lack of religious tolerance in an Islamist country?
In other news water is wet, the media thinks Obama is an ok guy, and Rosie O’Donnell will never be a size 6.

What in God’s name is any American doing in Libya? At this point, North Korea looks like a better option.

Why is an American in Benghazi in the first place, let alone preaching Christianity to muslim animals?

Sweet…kill an Ambassador, kill American citizens, and no arrests (except in America for a film director)…but hand out some literature, and you are arrested…
Sounds about right for this administration and their “excellent” foreign policy.

but we need to feel sorry for muslims because people don’t tolerate them enough, or something.

Well Obama said the future should not belong to those who slander Muhammad. Preaching for any other religion that isn’t Islam is a slander to Muhammad.
Sorry American Christian person. Our President really doesn’t care about your and probably never did in the first place.

It’s simple. Cut off all aid, trade and diplomatic relations with any state enforcing shari’a law. Might as well include those having any official religion(s).

What does it matter if the guy is an American Citizen that is being killed by someone in another country, since they left the nation they are no longer considered to be protected by the Constitution of the United States of America. Particularly since they are in a known enemy of the state war torn place. Isn’t that right drone warfare loving war hawks? Once you leave the nation, you are no longer to be protected by the nation. You are no longer one of us. I am pretty sure that is what you all said.

Christians tend to believe that God has created all people in His image and loves them unconditionally. Per Christ’s Great Commission they seek to evangelize non-Christians as part of their religious duty.
That said, if I was a missionary, Benghazi wouldn’t be very near the top of my list, either.

Depending on how you define an “official religion,” that could encompass a huge swath of countries outside of the Islamic world, Israel probably being the most notable.

Much as I would love to see this done, the cold hard truth is that as things stand, we’re utterly hooked on Terrorland oil.
It would take over a decade to spool up to oil independence, and that’s if every hippie retard who chained themself to a tree to prevent drilling was bisected along with the tree.

It’s kind of hard to protect an American when we have no embassy in that country. Keep up with the news.

In Dearbornistan, try giving out Christian literature, you will be met with protests, they are not at the ‘killing’ stage… yet …
This goes out to the “Can’t happen here” sheeple…

It is hard to protect American citizens when we do have an Embassy in many countries. Mexico makes it hard in many cases. But we know that American’s do not lose their Constitution of the United States of America protections just because they leave the country. Some people seem to think otherwise. When considered against the Constitution, the government’s actions against a citizen are not relaxed just because that citizen is outside the borders of the nation. As in many cases, we have seen that the efforts the nation is willing to go to defend Americans against negative actions of other nations when outside out borders becomes extraordinary.
I am just trying to make a point about citizenry and what it means to the people who think citizenship is something we can just arbitrarily ignore when it suits the government’s ends. If that were the case, then we would not have a constitution at all that limits the power of government.

America fought a war over American citizens getting captured: Barbary Wars.
They were just engaging in trade in the region.
I will say that any American traveling to a hostile country should not be outraged at the US not being able to help them much if they get into hot water.

I think we are missing my point. Maybe I hid it too deeply.
It is argued here on Hot Air that when an American is outside the nation, that the President is no longer BOUND by the Constitution in regards his God Given Rights. He can be hell fire committed to the ground on the President’s or the executive branches just say so. Effectively meaning the person is no longer a citizen. Thus if you leave the country for ANY PURPOSE, you should not expect us to care about you. You are no longer one of us.

The persecution of Christians all over the world is getting worse and worse..especially after the Islamic winter..Jesus still calls his servants to preach the good news to all over the world..including places like Libya and Iran..look at the American Christian jailed in Iran now..preaching the good news…
I pray that God would free those Christians and give them strength in these very trying times
