Matt Lewis
Conservatives finally discover Bob McDonnell isn’t “one of us”?
But McDonnell’s not just a moderate posing as a conservative, he’s also an ambitious establishment politician. Consider McDonnell’s less-than-principled decision to endorse moderate Republican Bill Bolling for governor last year. Why did he do it?
As the Washington Post reported: “Three years ago, Bolling and then-Attorney General Bob McDonnell (R) made a deal: McDonnell would run unopposed for the GOP nomination for governor, and four years later McDonnell would back Bolling for the state’s top job.”
He made a deal…
We should have known better. You can never trust a politician who cares that much about his hair.

Why do moderates ALWAYS fall for the liberal lies? So again we see how USELESS moderate politicians, as well as their supporters, are today.

Americans ALWAYS get the government they deserve.

Just wondering who this “us” might be as Lewis has it?

Levin is excoriating him right now. Go Mark!!!!!!!!!!!

Since the snippet neglects to mention McDonnell’s supposed offense, I’ll list it here:
My reaction: ho-hum. Virginia, particularly northern Virginia, needs a lot in the way of improvements in public infrastructure. The gridlock up here is atrocious. Infrastructure is one of those functions that government can, does, and should perform.
Still, I’m not a fan of McDonnell’s after all of the waffling he did on the ultrasound-abortion bill. He was finally strong-armed into signing it, but it took long enough for it to happen. And yes, appointing Kaine personnel and not going with Cuccinelli over Bolling are troubling as well.
McDonnell’s the sort of guy that would get my vote, but only after a sigh, grumble, and grimmace.

Matt Lewis thinks Matt Lewis is a conservative? How quaint.
steebo77 on February 25, 2013 at 6:21 PM
Oh, yes he is!!! WOW. Said he’s also going to do the same against every Republican that voted for this. If I’m not mistaken he said this is the largest tax increase in the history of the Commonwealth of Virginia!!
And the Governor and Legislators did this over the weekend!!!
I wish Mark would make transcripts available for his program. Or I could have a tape recorder:-)

“One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors”. Plato
Thus when Americans remain too lethargic to get involved with groups like the TEA Party Patriots they end up with another lousy government that immediately increases their taxes so as to say Thank You!
Get involved or stop whining. You get what you’ve earned.

You don’t need a tape recorder, he posts all of his shows on his website. His app also has podcasts to download on a smart phone, for FREE.

Mark just wants to get the word out. Usually I listen to his show later, as you can hear all 3 hours in just 118 minutes without the commercial breaks. Mark has been more relevant lately than most of the conservative talk radio hosts. His “inside baseball” tips and knowledge gives good perspective on things.
karenhasfreedom on February 25, 2013 at 6:31 PM
After what he just did, you’d still vote for him? Why, isn’t there any better tax and spend Democrat available?
Kasich got my vote the last time, but unless he changes courses on the Medicaid Expansion and additional tax increases, he won’t get mine. I’ll also spread the word. For some reason since Kasich caved, our Republican County Party has been totally silent. Hmmm.

You know I’m one of your fans, but didn’t the Tea Party/Conservatives all support his election?
bluefox on February 25, 2013 at 6:34 PM
Thanks for the info. Yes he is one of the very few that target the important issues. I receive more info from him in an hour than 3 hours sometimes with Rush/Hannity. Not going to discount Beck tho.

I generally swore off talk radio after November 6, but Mark is one of my two favorite hosts. As he and I both live in Virginia, I may have to catch today’s podcast. Thanks for the suggestion.

This has been promoted to the blog – I have to take off for a bit but I’ll be sure to check that entry out!

Agreed.

All? I doubt that, and while I know next to nothing about politics in Virginia it does seem that the majority of conservatives and the TEA Partys did support him since he promised when he ran for governor that he’d never raise taxes.
I expect he will get an ear full when he goes to CPAC and he already has Erick Erickson calling for his head.
Everyone knows that we take a risk when we support any candidate but if you don’t bet you’ll never win. That doesn’t excuse the people who do ZERO research of their candidates though.
Um, we got stuck with Snyder when the democrats crossed lines in our primary to vote him in as our candidate for Governor, but that backfired on THEM and their efforts to recall Rick crashed and burned.
Yep! There are 2 sides on every coin.
DannoJyd on February 25, 2013 at 6:54 PM
I caught it to, Mr. Levin is most unhappy.
Cindy Munford on February 25, 2013 at 7:01 PM
Thanks. I’m listening live now, but may listen again so I can make notes:-)
bluefox on February 25, 2013 at 7:06 PM
Thanks for your response. I probably shouldn’t have used the word “all.” I don’t recall the vote totals at the moment.
I have always been against the open primaries/caucuse. We saw what happened in 2008 but no State has corrected that.
I haven’t read Erickson’s comments yet, but can’t believe it could be any worse than Levins.
bluefox on February 25, 2013 at 7:16 PM
So true. Mark has such passion and you know when he’s upset!!
One of the best and covers what is important, so I appreciate that.
bluefox on February 25, 2013 at 7:18 PM
My friend, I learned a long time ago that dealing in absolutes leads to failure. that is very important when trying to sway a voter. If they see you as a liar you end up damaging your cause.
I don’t mind doing a bit of research since I continue to work to clear up the 0bamaganda published by the American[???] media. Real Americans demand to know the facts and if I refuse to dig for those, who will?
