Bloomberg’s anti-NRA message — and money — could sway Chicago House race
Because Halvorson is the only white candidate in the primary, originally facing nearly two dozen African-Americans, there was a reasonable chance she would win a slim plurality with the black vote splintering so many different ways.
In fact, polls early on showed her leading — but that was before Bloomberg’s Independence USA PAC unleashed a pair of TV ads and a series of mailers against her and her positions on guns. Now, days ahead of the vote, Kelly appears to be in the lead, with a pair of other top contenders having dropped out.
Bloomberg has been quite open about his desire to push stronger gun laws in the country, particularly after the December elementary school massacre in Newtown. Asked this week about involving himself in the Illinois race, he answered: “I’m part of the public and I happen to have some money. That’s what I am trying to do with my money — trying to get us some sensible gun laws.”

How in the world are you going to sway Chicago? Go more Democrat? I find it mildly entertaining that he’s spending money there. Must be afraid the money will clog up the plumbing if he flushed it down the commode directly.

bloomberg is a nasty hateful little napoleon that is really getting to the point he thinks his a mini-god with all his mandates! But the citizens keep electing him so I guess they don’t care their lives are getting more and more under his control daily.

Yes, money doesn’t flush well. It does clog the plumbing. I have that problem all the time.

The problem with this is Bloomberg himself. His reputation as a petty tyrant and all-around a$$hole is well known, and his involvement could hurt more than his money helps. Remember, this is the guy who considered a presidential run and bailed when polls showed he was less popular than beer farts.

NY and Chicago are like foreign countries to me and increasingly becoming enemies of American values and way of life.

I certainly don’t want fascist money from NY/DC buying the elections in my state! They print so much money in NY/DC that they practically grow it on trees, (which only NY/DC elites can grow), and now they’re using their fascist monopoly money to buy elections in other states.

NY is trying to do the same thing that Germany appears to be doing to Europe: take over.
FloatingRock on February 24, 2013 at 12:28 PM
I don’t understand the tactic. Insert yourself overtly into elections outside of you own residence isn’t usually viewed kindly and he can’t make the place any bluer or less friendly to guns, so what is the point? At least he can’t fail, everyone there already agrees with him.

Gun control is the last refuge of scoundrels and tyrant wanabes like Bloomberg and Obama that are too incompetent to get the simple, practical aspects of government right. Like balancing a budget, or providing disaster relief after a hurricane, or clearing snow out of the streets. They’d rather be working on grand schemes to re-engineer society that require huge amounts of money and power over other people’s lives and yield unmeasurable benefits.

Speaking of Mayor Doucheberg, his soda ban hits on March 12 and has some unsurprising surprises. Drink up NY!

Gun Control? Surprise! Europeans, Like Americans, Resist Any Gun Ban

Hey, Bloomberg. I watched Schindler’s List last night on cable.
You sure you want more gun control?

Don’t lump all of us NY state residence in with the liberals, NY state itself is held hostage by ultra left NY City, who thinks they can tell the rest of us who live in rural communities how to live our lives. 24 NY counties so far including the one I live in, have told our Governor Coumo that he can shove his NY City sponsored, so called NY safe act that was rammed down our throats in the dead of the night, up his ass, and that they are not going to enforce it in those counties.

If not for all the money-printing and bailouts of corrupt, fascist NY banks, NY might be a a sort of ghost town right now.
FloatingRock on February 24, 2013 at 1:28 PM
If we had been able to stop DC from bailing out the corrupt NY banks in ’08, allowing legitimate, responsible small and mid size banks to take over, not only would the country be in better shape right now, but NY, instead of corrupting Chicago politics, (which are already too corrupt), Bloomberg might be in the unemployment line right now. But because of all the monopoly money the Fed is printing and the bailouts that it enables, the bad guys remain at the top and it’s the good guys, in too many cases, in the (now virtual) unemployment line.
