Obama: Realistically, I have a year to enact my second-term agenda
President Obama said Wednesday he’s eager to move quickly to enact his second-term agenda, acknowledging that he has a severely limited time frame before the political world begins thinking about the next election cycle in 2014 and beyond.
Obama told a San Francisco television station that he wants to “get as much stuff done as quickly as possible.”
“Once we get through this year, then people start looking at the mid-terms and after that start thinking about the presidential election,” Obama said during a brief interview with KGO, an ABC affiliate. “The American people don’t want us thinking about elections, they want us to do some work. America is poised to grow in 2013 and add a lot of jobs as long as Washington doesn’t get in the way.”

No chit, Cherlock!
But we both know that your actions are complete opposite of what you spew out of your lying pie hole.
Oh how I wish someone would call him out or at least laugh in his face when he says things like this.

I hope Boehner can hold on that long. I know – might as well be betting green in roulette.

Obama: Realistically, I have a year to enact my second-term agenda…of playing over 200 rounds of golf. FOUR!

What a load, this guy.

Pretty hilarious that the Washington Post is reduced to reporting that the President of the United States gave an interview to a San Francisco TV station.

Uh, Obozo, you are already in the way. Your idea of growth for America is in negative numbers.

Thats, “FORE!”
And, what with Obama’s obvious disdain for actual work, I’ve often thought that the only reason that he ran for a second term is for the lavish vacations.

The sheer eloquence – nay, poetry – of the World’ Greatest Orator never ceases to impress me.

I stand corrected.

0bama THINKS he has a year but in fact Americans will remember how the Democrats stuck it to them and will respond.
The TEA Partys are getting new people every day. Will you again gather splinters and let others do your work for you, or will you try to make a difference for once?

I was hoping he meant he’d be impeached and imprisoned after a year.

Has a certain symmetry with “never let a crisis go to waste”.
Bitter Clinger on February 21, 2013 at 12:58 PM
WHOA !! Obama said THAT ??
By all means, let’s remind him of that.
And as well, remind him that he has to work for FOUR years. Not one.
Jabberwock on February 21, 2013 at 1:00 PM
No, let’s not remind him.

I almost missed the obvious question from this quote: what exactly is his second term agenda?
We never heard anything about it in the presidential election (shocking that the press didn’t ask him about it). Indeed, I recall watching the back and forth in the presidential debates thinking – why are they just talking about Romney’s “plans” – note, he didn’t have any real plans either, but that didn’t stop them from discussing what his plans were and were not ad naseum. I couldn’t help but think – what about Obama’s plans? He’s the actual President – shouldn’t have to defend his record or come up with plans to improve on his abysmal performance in improving the economy?

NO – every time he ‘works’, he destroys the land/you.

I don’t think that I’d ever accuse him of working.

He’s right. Which is why the Republicans would be insane to cave on amnesty or gun control right now. Just stall until the end of the year(trust me, it’ll be here sooner than you think) and then it’ll get wiped off the table. Besides, they have bigger fish to fry with the sequester, debt ceiling, and budget debates all happening in succession between now and May.
Doughboy on February 21, 2013 at 1:41 PM
Fair. I should have phrased a bit differently.
I just do not want him to say “I can’t get anything done.” And then, go on vacation for two years.
We might suggest he stay in the WH, but avoid the OO.
Jabberwock on February 21, 2013 at 1:44 PM
Why, it’s to save the children, bring equality for women and give much needed relief to the poor and helpless. Most of all, to build his legacy as the bestest president ever!!!
Vince on February 21, 2013 at 1:45 PM
Sorry to parse when you’re trying to phrase it better, but that would be about the best non-sexual fantasy I could imagine!
I’d be happy for the taxpayers to buy him his own golf course on Oahu if he’d just stay there.

Nothing a good impeachment wouldn’t take care of.

Because when Obamacare totally destroys health insurance and healthcare as we know it at the end of this year, NO ONE will be interested in your opinion or desires.

It would be the “laugh” equivalent of “the Emperor has no clothes”. A real brush-off.
