“What’s a boy’s 16th birthday party without strippers and lap dances?”
Police were alerted to the party activities after raunchy photos of the lap dances were posted online. The mother of a 15-year-old boy who attended the party saw some of the photos on her son’s Facebook page and alerted South Glens Falls authorities.
“The charges stem from an allegation that she endangered not only the welfare of her own child, but the welfare of the 14- and 15-year-old children that were at the birthday party as well,” Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy told the Glens Falls Post-Star.
The company providing the strippers said that the dancers were unaware that the kids at the party were underage, local CBS affiliate WRGB reported, and that the incident was being “blown out of proportion.”

I can’t believe the stripper company, the strippers weren’t charged…they can’t tell the ages of a 13 year old? They don’t ask? Negligent at best.
Where’s the dad…if he is not around, what are the odds that the state actually is the one who paid for the hookers/strippers.

Yes, it shows the decay of society, yes it’s irresponsible and reprehensible.
But does this woman deserve jail time? Not in this day and age, where I turn on CBS at 9 PM just to see what the sitcom “Two Broke Girls” looks like and am immediately assaulted with a running dialog about anal sex (not merely hinted at — the word “anal” is actually used).
When you live in garbage you shouldn’t get fined for not recycling.

This mom’s behavior may be indicative of why/how she ended up with a 16 year old at 33. Maybe she was an attendee or a lap dancer at a birthday party 16 years ago?

Moms and Dads want to be their kids’ “friends”.
I lived pretty close to a stream where a young man’s body was found. Turns out his mother set up a party at a local bar for his 21st birthday. The kid got drunk, wandered away from the party, fell down the embankment and drowned in a stream only a couple inches deep.
But the mom was the kid’s best friend.

LOL’ing at all the parents who are SHOCKED AND HORRIFIED about this, but think accepting homosexuality in your kid is cool. Would anyone faint at the idea of parents letting a kid have a gay party? Maybe it’s cause my old man was a sailor but I’m with Big Gator on this one.

Like Mitoch said, This is a symptom of parents no longer wanting to be parents but wanting to be “cool friends.” As a mom, it is actually my job to teach my son to RESPECT woman and not objectify them. He will learn to do that via hormones. I am supposed to offset those hormones with moral lessons. Getting him strippers does not do this nor does it give him a healthy does of reality about sexual relationships.
That being said, I am sure a good time was had by all– and I am not sure that this rises to the level of arrest. A mom this morally bankrupt won’t even realize that she did anything wrong. And her son is far past the age of reformation.
