Virginia pizzeria: 15% off for anyone who walks in with a firearm
“I’ve always been a supporter of the right to carry,” Jay Laze told NBC affiliate WAVY. “You’re either on one side or the other and it seems like more politicians are against us rather than for us.
“I want to show them they really aren’t representing the people or the constitution they are sworn in under.”

And 100% off for anyone who sticks that firearm in the cashier’s face.

Gun grabber freakout in 3…2… 1
Galt2009 on February 19, 2013 at 11:59 AM
I doubt they will get robbed any time soon.
sharrukin on February 19, 2013 at 12:01 PM
Amusing idea, but I hope that they either don’t serve alcohol, or run a pretty tight ship as far as keeping everyone sober goes.
LukeinNE on February 19, 2013 at 12:03 PM
More likely: Free ammo for anyone who sticks that firearm in the cashier’s face, delivered at high speed.
The Rogue Tomato on February 19, 2013 at 12:13 PM
Those who legally carry I hope are responsible enough. But you are right, there can be some real knuckleheads out there who do it illegally and don’t know the law.
tommer74 on February 19, 2013 at 12:14 PM
Make mine with onions, olives, mushrooms and double cheese.
petefrt on February 19, 2013 at 12:18 PM
+1. “Ballistic discount” only works when the cashier and customers are helpless.
MelonCollie on February 19, 2013 at 12:21 PM
Precisely why I left Jersey to reside in the great Commonwealth of Virginia.
Lost in Jersey on February 19, 2013 at 12:23 PM
Why? Virginia has allowed open carry in establishments serving alcohol for generations, yet you don’t hear of any wild west shootouts.
It is against the law to conceal carry in an establishment that serves alcohol though, because that removes the establishments management the right to refuse to serve. And yes, the business does have the right to ask people with firearms to remove them from their premises.

Don’t stop there, charge Democrat voters 15% extra.
mudskipper on February 19, 2013 at 12:27 PM
Real Democrats eat quiche.

Nothing like playing to the stereotype of the Left.
Bitter Clinger on February 19, 2013 at 12:32 PM
Check out the photo in the article. 80 something year old woman carrying a Ruger Mini-14 .223 semi-automatic rifle. Awesome.

Does he deliver nationally? If not, come down to Texas and open up a whole chain!
michaelo on February 19, 2013 at 12:44 PM
Implying that mixing guns and the irresponsible consumption of alcohol isn’t a great idea is a left wing stereotype? My one and only point was that I hope establishments are responsible about it.
LukeinNE on February 19, 2013 at 12:47 PM
Yeah, but when they’re not helpless, you can’t beat their delivery time. “Bullets delivered in under 10 seconds or they’re free. What the heck, they’re free, anyway.”
The Rogue Tomato on February 19, 2013 at 12:47 PM
Just as an of topic aside, always remember to refer to the Bill of Rights and the 2nd amendment as God-given and Constitutionally affirmed rights when talking to the gun grabbers – it drives them nuts. (Not that they aren’t close to that state anyway)
Galt2009 on February 19, 2013 at 12:49 PM
If I had a gun I would like pepperoni with mushrooms and extra cheese please.
Bmore on February 19, 2013 at 1:01 PM
The stereotype you’re playing to is that all gun owners are irresponsible and should never be trusted to bring their firearm into a place of business (and, better yet, no even own a firearm).
Bitter Clinger on February 19, 2013 at 1:06 PM
Yes you are promoting left wing stereotypes. This guy takes a great stand for the 2nd amendment and you bash him for it.
sauldalinsky on February 19, 2013 at 1:24 PM
Nope, law got changed back in 2010.
Oldnuke on February 19, 2013 at 1:24 PM
What are you, one of them there Vegga-tarians or something?
What about the pepperoni, sausage and meatballs?
UltimateBob on February 19, 2013 at 1:36 PM
I just realized this guy is in my local area! Woohoo! Time to go check out his pizzas! (It’s not in my neighborhood, but I’m thinking a Saturday night out or a Sunday post-church lunch will work out just fine!)
GWB on February 19, 2013 at 1:41 PM

Bitter Clinger on February 19, 2013 at 1:45 PM
100% off if they pull it.
Ba-da-BUMP!
mojo on February 19, 2013 at 1:50 PM
Nice. Thanks for the info. I don’t have a CCW (nor need one) so I don’t typically keep up with it. But I think it’s a good move.
We need more law-abiding citizens armed to teeth. Makes the criminals think twice.
ButterflyDragon on February 19, 2013 at 1:53 PM
Yep. Virginia, lots of guns around, hard to tell who’s packing and who’s not. Difficult to pick out a victim….unless there’s an Obama/Biden sign in the yard or on the car
Low crime rates in Virginia too. Yet in D.C. with some of the most restrictive gun regulations in the country it’s not safe to walk around after dark. Of course that’s because of all those guns in Virginia. Did you hear about Prince George’s county Md. They’re going to ban gun shows. For anyone familiar with the area the irony there is monumental.

Gee, thanks. I almost forgot the pepperoni and sausage! Maybe some anchovies too.

petefrt on February 19, 2013 at 2:55 PM
I live in a safe (rural, conservative) neck of the woods. Many of my neighbors feel they don’t need a CCW (except for trips to the eastern big cities), and they don’t want to get a CCW because they don’t want their gun ownership kept in a gubmint file.
petefrt on February 19, 2013 at 3:00 PM
Where do you live? We need to make sure that you are properly honored as being a “sensible gun owner” on our map.
blammm on February 19, 2013 at 3:17 PM
Just to set the VA law straight…
If you CC into a place that serves alcohol it is illegal for you to drink.
However…(and I am not advocating this)…
If you open carry into a place that serves alcohol you are allowed to drink as long as you are not impaired (which opens up a huge mess)
In short VA law says if you CC you can not drink, If you open carry you may drink but your condition can possibly cause you some legal problems.
With the legal stuff out of the way…please do not have a firearm and drink in public.
