What’s the difference between Obama and Rubio on immigration exactly?
But when you compare what USA Today reported with the bipartisan principles Rubio signed onto earlier this year, there is not much difference between the two plans. Both plans “repeats the failures” of an amnesty-for-enforcement framework. Both plans create “a special pathway that puts those who broke our immigration laws at an advantage over those who chose to do things the right way and come here legally.” USA Today had no details on how Obama’s bill would “address guest workers or future flow,” but the principles Rubio signed were exceedingly vague on that subject too.
The only real difference between Obama and Rubio appears to be whether or not a border security “trigger” should be met before those here illegally now could become citizens. But even this is not that big a deal. White House spokesman Josh Earnest has already admitted that while Obama does not prefer a trigger, he will sign a bill that contains one.

Unrelated joke – heard it today:
Q: What’s the difference between and Oral and a Rectal thermometer?
A: The taste.

Obama is doing it for progressive reasons which his base supports.
Rubio is doing it for progressive reasons which his base abhors!

“I can’t tell the difference, can you tell the difference. No, I can’t tell the difference, can you tell the difference.”

Rubio THINKS the new immigrants will vote for HIM.
Obama KNOWS the new immigrants will vote Democrats/Freebies.

There is no difference but as long as someone who looks the part, sounds the part and is pushing the part in Marco Rubio, then it’s ok for Republican and some conservative voters to turn a blind eye and support it.

Hey, it would just be one more lie to sign off on. No biggie.

The difference is that when Rubio supports it, Karl Rove will tell us it’s conservative.

There is no “apparent” difference, because most people are too lazy to see the difference, and it makes for good copy and propaganda to say they are the “same”…and of course the lemmings follow and agree…as proven by the above posts.

Barry’s smoke and mirrors are tinted blue. Marco’s are tinted red.

You can expand that question and ask what is the difference between the repubs and dems?

Less than a gnat’s eyelash.

When was the last time Obama, Rubio, McCain, et al, sponsored an enforcement-only bill for mandatory and universal E-Verify, requiring IRS and Social Security Admin. to compare records, called for actually enforcing the 1996 federal law against sanctuary cities, etc.?
When was the last time any of them put their concern for unemployed American citizens ahead of their drooling over the future votes of foreign invaders?
Answer – they are all the same. No diff at all.
