Immigration double kabuki
So what’s the purpose of this hollow threat? The only explanation I come up with is that it’s a Double Kabuki play: 1) The President gets to posture as the tough guy demanding a deal (or else he’ll unleash his draft!). Meanwhile the Hispanic caucus and the amnesty lobby can gnaw on all the pro-illegal statutory tweaks they would like to see in the “path to citizenship,” etc. But more important 2) Republicans like Rubio and Paul Ryan get to posture by denouncing the President’s draft (Rubio: “Dead on Arrival” Ryan: “the wrong direction”) thereby earning themselves seeming-tough-on-illegals street cred that might serve them well when they sell out by endorsing an instant-legalization compromise (as, in fact, Rubio has already done).
That would not only explain why the plan exists but why it was leaked by “an Obama administration official” to USA Today. Obama wants to give Rubio and Ryan the opportunity to look like they are fighting him. But it’s a fake fight.

Another disingenuous Obama Campaign policy pose? Oh boy, how exciting.

Washington at its slimiest.

Instant legalization means instant driver’s licenses, means voter registration, means millions of illegal Dem votes.

Like most criminals who work hard to steal %50…if they spent the same amount of energy on actually solving a problem, as trying to not face the problem, they would be successful at resolving the issue.
But they would rather spend more time being political, than just doing the right thing and working towards a solution.
Immigration, economy, international, whatever, they spend more time “maneuvering” than working on the problem.

Wow, it only took me 1/10th of a second to figure that out. How many days did it take this guy?

Rubio and Ryan have both shown that they are nothing more than typical Washington politicians. Neither gets any street creds for this nonsense.

I called this right after the GE. Knew it would happen. Now, despite the HA opposition, it’ll still happen. And I’m good at predictions. Lol

The good news: during the 8 months that Obama had 60 Democrat votes in the Senate AND a clear Democrat majority in the Pelosi-led House, Obama did NADA on comprehensive amnesty. No danger of a Republican filibuster, no challenge from the House Republican minority.
And in typical Obama fashion, during the 2012 campaign he blamed Republicans for stopping any progress on comprehensive amnesty.
Even BETTER news: during those 8 months when Obama and his Democrats ruled the country, they did NOT pass Cap and Trade, any gun laws, and a multitude of other liberal mischief. They didn’t even pass healthcare during that time!!!!
I believe as long as his illegal alien aunt and uncle are not deported, he doesn’t give a crap about Hispanics (except maybe their votes).
I trust the country will wake up with a sense of fair play in time to win a House rejection and/or a filibuster in the Senate again.
And don’t trust McCain — no matter WHAT he says!! His 2006 McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill had a 90-day waiting period for the infamous Z visa. In the 2007 version he changed the 90 days to a SINGLE BUSINESS DAY — the time allowed for the FBI to disqualify an illegal alien visa applicant by a bad criminal background check!!!!! After the single day, the illegal alien got all the privileges of a legal resident by default — immediately! McCain is a traitor to precious American citizenship. He wanted to eventually give it away to 12 million foreign invaders.

What took you so long? Some of us predicted it months before the election.

And he still does, only it’s more like 20 million. That’s why he says stupid things like Americans won’t pick lettuce for $50 an hour.
