Video: “In order to be a liberal, you have to like every stupid idea Barack Obama has”
Jim Pinkerton said many in the media just want to cheerlead for their team and help crush the Republicans while “rooting for the president to succeed.” Judith Miller said the reactions to Obama’s speeches are becoming jsut as predictable as the speeches themselves.
Powers remarked that it’s at the point where “in order to be a liberal, you have to like every stupid idea Barack Obama has.” Cal Thomas quipped that Obama’s biggest contribution to climate change is “recycling old ideas,” while going after Obama for lying a number of times in his State of the Union speech.
Scott then turned to the widespread media coverage of Rubio’s water bottle moment, calling out MSNBC in particular for showing the clip over 150 times. Miller dismissed it as absurd and said the media should have focused on the content of his speech. Thomas said it was more about the media drinking the Kool-Aid than Rubio drinking the water, while Scott and Powers both found it striking that Rubio got more media coverage than Robert Menendez, a Democrat currently caught up in a possible prostitution scandal.

News Watch has evolved into a very decent show, thanks largely to their having replaced talking point radical lefties with thoughtful mainstream lefties like Powers and Miller.

Kirsten is cute but it sure is taking her a long time to smell the coffee . The former hippie radical marxists nutbags from the 70′s are in charge now and they are into establishing a ruling elite to lord over peons like us .They seized power by controlling the media and the culture of fame crazed slackers . Resistance is futile .

Are becoming? I’m not much of a gambler, but I would place a bet on those reactions. They have been rather reliable for quite a long time now.

This is dangerous. This is what happened in Germany in the 30s with NAZIs except that detractors were shot then, now they are just excommunicated from the party. Democrats who show any detraction from party orthodoxy or offer criticisms of the “dear leader” get shunned, impugned and are not given public roles with in media and party. They are generally treated with disdain by the media. The only criticism that is allowed are leftists who claim Obama is not far enough left. This is how the leftist press advances their agenda. And, of course, Republicans get the Palin treatment.
I think the biggest problem is that Americans continue to get most of their information from TV. Yes, Fox leads in the ratings game, but everything else on TV is owned by the left including not only so called “news” but also “entertainment” and most every other area of TV media. I could argue that the media now has more power than the politicians these days. They don’t speak truth to power anymore, instead they are the ones pulling the strings. They can make or break anyone and the politicians on both sides know it.

In order to be a new and improved “progressive” Republican (such as Christie, Rubio, Jeb Bush), you have to like at least half of the stupid ideas Barack Obama has.
