I’ve been tring to explain this to people for a few years. Average people think all the ‘big government’ we are getting will be paid for by the “Rich” people, not them. But they will pay a heavy price – they will pay with reduced opportunties and a lower standard of living. (or their kids / grandkids will pay)

When I try to explain this – their eyes just glaze over. It so sad how foolish the American people have become.

I actually heard that a couple of days ago. Un. Be. Lievable how stupid so many people are.

Due to Obamacare, the max on a flexible spending account went from $6000 to $2500 where I work. That means an additional $3500 moves from untaxed money for healthcare costs to taxed money (by fed and state, medicare, social security, etc.) regardless if you use it for healthcare or not.

This means a “hidden” tax increase. In something that 0 said would not raise our taxes. Of course, I did not believe him then any more than I do now.

Try explaining any of this to an Obama voter though.

Her “compensation” is a pie, and she is getting a smaller slice as take-home pay because of the bigger slices going to pay for the legally-obligated costs of having her as an employee.

The same can be said for our national debt and the stimulus plans.

The next campaign ads from the Republicans right there…

The sad thing is that the republicans aren’t explaining this to the people. They seem incapable of explaining to the average middle-class and working-class person how all this big government is actually hurting their opportunities, and their liberty.

So answer this: are they not explaining it because they don’t understand it, or because they don’t believe it (they think big government it OK – just their brand of big government)?

A pie chart representing “what you earn” that over time starts getting wedges taken out as increased mandated costs are added to the pie.

“Remember, this is what you could be taking home – instead, this is what you’re getting thanks to Obamacare”

Employer must then also consider all other taxes as compensation from his point of view. ….

According to the supreme court, its a tax. Meaning the service provided and money collected are no longer related. Employer must then also consider all other taxes as compensation from his point of view. I’d like to see him itemize the military benefits he provides to each of his employees.
