Report: White House’s immigration bill would grant illegals green cards in eight years
A draft of a White House immigration proposal obtained by USA TODAY would allow illegal immigrants to become legal permanent residents within eight years.
The plan also would provide for more security funding and require business owners to check the immigration status of new hires within four years. In addition, the nation’s 11 million illegal immigrants could apply for a newly created “Lawful Prospective Immigrant” visa, under the draft bill being written by the White House.
If approved, they could then apply for the same provisional legal status for their spouse or children living outside the country, according to the draft.

Rubio’s plan should be DOA too, it’s only slightly less bad.
Obama probably leaked this plan on purpose, to help Rubio sell the Gang of 8 plan to conservatives, as supposedly tough in comparison to what Obama wants.

Doesn’t the fact that they are allowed to stay in America indefinitely automatically make them legal permanent residents IMMEDIATELY? Quick, every cross the border NOW so you can get to the front of the line!

Exactly. Amnesty for 10-20 million is bad no matter how you slice it. Let Obama do it by executive order and we can fight it in court.

LOL idiots can not even enforce the current laws here yet they want to make some more?
Watch for a huge influx people.
Also, this immigration thing is a good example on why Rome fell.
That and then we all gonna have to learn Mexican, and then they will turn the US into a 3rd rate cese pool like Mexico ( you ever been outside of the tourist areas you know what I am talkin about ).

I’m sure Rubio will add a couple of million to the security side of the bill and bless it as a bipartisan effort. Rubio’s next projects include: another version of TARP; increased welfare payments; longer unemployments; and of course higher taxes to pay for it all.

The next BUNCH of years for years to come are literally filled with bad stuff that barky has started. There is so much that I don’t even think most of us are aware of just how far gone this country is.
I keep hoping and praying for the miracle that will end his “reign” and bring someone to the office that will save what is left and bring back our greatness.
Then I snap back to reality.

You can’t be supporting Rubio and criticizing Obama’s plan. It’s healthcare madate all over again. It makes you look hypocritical. This is Rubio’s signature policy….
Who’s going to fight this in court against Obama when Paul and Rubio are offering the same thing … In essence?
If you want to convince yourself that there is a difference, especially when this presented here says: you get greencard in 8 yrs, and longer for citizenship.. have at it! But realize that Rubio’s first offer includes path to citizenship … The negotiation is going to be over waiting periods….
SO, if that’s the case, I think you’ll get some repubs on board if it’s a 10 yr period…. That gives the GOP enough time to rebrand itself, and convince those future new voters that they like them now.
If you guys keep your mouths shut that is!
