Gallup
Poll: Six in 10 American favor ending Saturday mail delivery
Most members of major U.S. subgroups support the elimination of Saturday residential mail delivery. The two exceptions are young adults and nonwhites, who are divided in their opinions. People of higher socioeconomic status — including upper-income adults and those with more formal education — are the groups most likely to support ending Saturday delivery.
While majorities of all partisan groups favor ending Saturday delivery, Republicans (69%) show higher support for this than Democrats (56%).

Since unions have destroyed the US Postal Service, it should be contracted out to a private company.

Why would anyone favor this? It’s only happening because of mismanagement and incompetence.
What’s the upside of losing the chance to get mail on Saturday?

Still think it would be better to have alternate day delivery. Monday-Wednesday-Friday, for 1/2 and Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday. Result 1/2 the carriers, 1/2 the mail trucks.

It’ll save me 2 billion of my tax dollars. They’re mismanaging and incompetent with my money.

Are you expecting a refund check? You’re never going to see a benefit from this. Those tax dollars will just be squandered somewhere else.

Let’s ban junk mail next. My mailbox is always stuffed with newspaper type ads and it’s hard to find the mail I actually want when it’s entangled in a giant mess of crumpled up store ads.
