Chart: Barack Obama’s monster online advertising campaign
In the middle of the report, this chart really jumped out at us. It compares Barack Obama’s online display ads to Mitt Romney’s display ads. The gap between the two is stunning. We’re not going to say anything about the correlation between online spending and winning an election, we just can’t believe the gap between the two candidates.

But it wasn’t Romney’s fault. He didn’t let us down by running an incompetent, pointless campaign. Oh, no! We let him down by not being overwhelmed with enthusiasm to vote for a guy whose entire argument for his candidacy was that he’d be a better steward of the big government behemoth. Or something.

What happened to Romney’s Death Star of campaign cash that was going to unleash the mother of all ad campaigns?
Mark1971 on February 14, 2013 at 11:53 PM
Evidently, the same thing that happened to the original Death Stars.

That chart didn’t even cover all the paid trolls, like the ones that infest this site.

To run an ad campaign you need a positive message. As I’ve been asking the RomBots here for close to a year, what EXACTLY was Romney’s message? Was it, Romneycare is the most conservative thing evah?
I cannot believe that people do not understand that Romney was doomed to fail because he could not fight against the #1 thing Americans did not support, namely 0bamaScare.
Ask any American which brand they would prefer, the generic or the name brand and they will choose the name brand every time.

The barrage of ads for Democratic candidates in general was almost stifling. Heck in regards to the Ohio Senate race I saw the negative ads so much even i started to believe.

What the hell exactly DID the Romney campaign and all those conservative and GOP PACs spend their money on? I saw a few online and TV ads linked on here and other sites, but that doesn’t explain where all those hundreds of millions went.
