Joe Scarborough: “I don’t expect to be cheering House Republicans anytime soon”
The Washington Post’s Greg Sargent on Tuesday seemed shocked that Joe Scarborough, who he paints as the voice of moderation, agrees more with Democrats on deficit issues than Republicans. On the subject of fiscal problems and the debt, the MSNBC host told Sargent, “I don’t expect to be cheering House Republicans anytime soon.”
The left-leaning Post writer asked if, on deficit issues, Scarborough’s “views are indeed more in line with Dems than with Republicans.” The cable host replied, “yes.” He then went on to attack Barack Obama from the left: “I don’t see the Democrats focusing seriously on Entitlements or cuts. The president is even scared to cut defense.”

Nobody really cares, Joe.

Shut up you corrupt clown.
Quit lying to people by telling them you’re a Republican.
darwin on February 13, 2013 at 9:44 AM
No change then?
Thanks for the update, Joe.

Not that I give a crap what Joe thinks, but can anyone make sense of that? He’s more in line with Dems than the GOP on deficit issues. Meaning he supports higher taxes(on top of the ones already instituted last month) and no cuts in spending. But he’s also upset that Obama and the Dems aren’t focused on cutting spending or reforming entitlements. Huh?!

Why does any right minded person who engages Scarbourough let him get away with calling himself a conservative republican.

I’m sure they are crushed Joe.

What a jerk. He’s forgotten all about his new buddies accusing him of murder. “Scandal.”
Curmudgeon on February 13, 2013 at 9:48 AM
Schmoe has always just been worried about maintaining a paycheck. You would too with a radio gig on permanent “hiatus” and a book that sold two copies on “How to be a Republican”.
Marcus on February 13, 2013 at 9:49 AM
Gee – a liberal democrat who doesn’t agree with Republicans – SHOCKA!
Pork-Chop on February 13, 2013 at 9:49 AM
He’s on MSNBC, there are no right minded people. To them, he is a conservative republican seeing as all the other are to the left of Mao.
topdawg on February 13, 2013 at 9:50 AM
I have no clue how that is “attacking Obama from the Left”.
Paul-Cincy on February 13, 2013 at 9:50 AM
That’s not really “from the left.”
Abby Adams on February 13, 2013 at 9:50 AM
MSNBC has Joe Scarborough, Fox Has Bob Bechel.
Window dressing for the netwrok meant to satisfy the opposition, whose opinions the network followers totally ignore.

Shouldn’t you be mourning the death of one of your greatest fans?

Sergeant thinks conservatives really want to take all the federal money going towards social spending and only cut taxes a little, while giving most of it to the military. That’s why he believes Scarborough’s criticism is ‘from the left’.
jon1979 on February 13, 2013 at 10:06 AM
At least Beckel will occasionally say something profound like a couple years ago when he mentioned that Social Security is unsustainable because it was never intended as a retirement plan for seniors. 99% of politicians and pundits out there don’t have the stones to admit that. I’m still waiting for just once instance of that kind of candor from Morning Slow.

Remember a time…
Resist We Much on February 13, 2013 at 10:09 AM
The difference:
Bob Beckel rarely, if ever, sounds like a conservative or libertarian…
…and neither does Joe Scarborough.
Resist We Much on February 13, 2013 at 10:11 AM
Who is Joe Scarborough?
Bitter Clinger on February 13, 2013 at 10:14 AM
POWELL/SCARBOROUGH 2016!!
ToddPA on February 13, 2013 at 10:20 AM
Do you have some agreement to link stuff about Joe? Can we just ignore him? Did you read that NBC’s rating are toast? Can we please pretend he has officially gone over to the other side? We have not watched MSNBC for so long, my husband had to look up the station # yesterday when we were checking out Mad crazy liberal killer cop news coverage. We both felt SOOO good about him forgetting!
djl130 on February 13, 2013 at 10:41 AM
Of course not. Liberals almost never do. All that’s left for you to do, Joe, is to give honesty a try. Stop calling yourself a Republican or a Conservative and go join your pal Charlie Crist in the Democrat Party.

Egg – “I don’t expect to be cheering Joe Scarborough anytime soon, with a strong likelyhood of never cheering SloJoe.”
Steve Eggleston on February 13, 2013 at 10:59 AM
The only reason Joe isn’t an official Democrat is because he’d be of no further use to his PMSDNC bosses except in his role as Official Republican Flunky Who Trashes His Own Party as Too Extreme.
Plus, he gives Kool-Aid driking PMSDNC viewers the delusion of being open-minded enough to hear the other side.
DRayRaven on February 13, 2013 at 11:03 AM
Of course…why would anything change for the MSDNC token Republican that can be counted on to demonize Conservatives on a regular basis while praising Obama at almost every turn.
He praised Obama on Obamacare…
…….He praised Obama on the stimulus…
…………He praised Obama on raising taxes while doing little to no cutting of spending.
………………He praised Obama on his War without Congressional Approval in Libya that has opened the door for more jihadist rule
……………………He praised Obama for supporting the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
He has praised Obama’s foreign policy moves and economic moves that have been shown as absolute failures.
He has demonized the Tea Party and Conservatives in general while sympathizing with the violent Occupy Wall St. and their democratic supporters.
This pattern of liberal support from a “moderate Republican” is so obvious that Stevie Wonder could see it.
…where have you been Sargent????
Scarborough has sided with the democrats over Republicans on pretty much every major issue.
