Why a Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon is getting 2016 buzz
“We can make contributions for people who are indigent,” Carson said. “Instead of sending all this money to some bureaucracy, let’s put it in their HSAs. Now they have some control over their own health care. And very quickly they’re going to learn how to be responsible.”
When it comes to taxes, Carson pushed for a flat income tax by citing the biblical concept of tithing. “Some people say, ‘Well that’s not fair because it doesn’t hurt the guy who made $10 billion as much as the guy who made 10.’ Where does it say you’ve got to hurt the guy? He just put a billion dollars in the pot. We don’t need to hurt him,” Carson said. “It’s that kind of thinking that has resulted in 602 banks in the Cayman Islands. That money needs to be back here building our infrastructure and creating jobs.”
Carson has also endeared himself to social conservatives, blasting the idea of political correctness, saying that it is destroying the nation by silencing conversations. …
Perhaps Carson is primed for a move into the political fray; he’s a regular on the lecture circuit, talks frequently about public education, and came out with a book last year entitled America the Beautiful. There’s certainly a groundswell of support for it.

He’s getting buzz because he’s a gifted public speaker, an accomplished neurosurgeon, a learned individual, and a seemingly regular guy you can relate to who doesn’t condescend or talk down to his audience. Aside from a lack of foreign policy experience, tell me how he’s in any way less qualified for the Presidency than anyone else out there?

The political ruling class would never allow him to get a foothold into politics. He is far to intelligent and morally principled to survive in the cesspool called DC.

He’s prolly a racist or something.

Left and sycophant media busily preparing narrative to destroy this man, regardless of what he does in the future.
Blacks can never be allowed off the liberal plantation. Never.

Because we’re a leaderless rabble in search of anyone that might set things right?

Truth to Power?

Well, Allred already used up the “skanky white hos” card against Herman Cain, so the left will have to come up with a new smear against Carson.
Doughboy on February 12, 2013 at 9:35 AM
Let’s cut to the chase, has Carson got a Herman Cain problem?

He’s a conservative black man. Of course he does. He just may not know it yet.

A lefty on another blog claims to know Dr. Carson and says he is a narcissistic bully and tyrant. LOL. He was serious.
To me he sounds like a cross between Thomas Sowell and Walter E. Williams.
ctmom on February 12, 2013 at 9:44 AM
He did have the temerity to speak out against Dear Leader’s policies with the man sitting 5 feet away from him no less. If that’s not the behavior of a tyrant or bully, I don’t know what is.

It breaks my heart that this is true. Our country is so much worse off for it. Can you imagine the media giving this man the respect he deserves and thoughtfully evaluating his ideas?

We need to stop looking for the right candidate and start making the case to voters. First you win the argument, then you win the election.
Carson need not run for political office to have a political impact. He should go to Democrat enclaves and speak truth to power.
commodore on February 12, 2013 at 9:55 AM
What has Carson ever done besides attend 12 years of medical school, become the nation’s top neurosurgeon, donated his time and skill to those who otherwise couldn’t afford it, and worked to help people in need?
Has he ever doled-out fund money to cronies, “organized” a community, written 2 autobiographies about an undistinguished life, or edited the Harvard Law Review?
Come on, the man is an idiot.

Allen West on Dr. Carson. Allen is correct with what he says and it is sad to say he is correct.

The reason he is getting so much buzz is that he communicated Conservative values in a simple way. His life shows he actually believes what he says. Most republicans currently calling themselves Conservative are missing that core belief and therefore don’t fight for what is right and cave. I don’t know where all our principled leaders went but it seems that they are more concerned with being against Obama and not for Conservative principles. People see that and don’t want it. The democrats are standing on most of their principles even though most of them are bad for the country, but they stand on them. We need to work at showing the public that Conservative principles work and are better for them and the country. Until that happens, the people will vote for principled democrats(even though they are wrong) over unprincipled republicans.
