“When I came back from my first session, I can remember saying, ‘He’s the pick of the litter’”
“Like most things in politics, we are keenly aware of how fleeting this all is and how most news hype is all sound and no fury,” said Rubio’s senior strategist, Todd Harris. “You run the risk of becoming overexposed and overserved, not to mention the fact you might screw up.”…
“Marco Rubio has an unerring ear for how to frame a conservative argument,” said Republican pollster Whit Ayres. “Just listen to the way he frames an argument and you will hear a very different argument than we have heard in recent years.”
That is a quality people have seen in Rubio since the beginning of his political career.
“When I came back from my first session, I can remember saying, ‘He’s the pick of the litter.’ He really separated himself from his Republican colleagues,” said Dan Gelber, who was the Democratic minority leader in the Florida House of Representatives while Rubio was speaker. “He navigates nuance as well as anyone you’re going to meet in this world. He has very good political instincts.”

ROFLMAO! Boot-licker to a worm. How does that feel?
Morons.

I hear Romney had that quality as well. Somehow I don’t think that means what this guy thinks it means.

Marco Rubio is just the same as all those other worthless Republican maggots up on the hill.

He’s handsome. I’ll give him that.

Haven’t made up my mind about Rubio. But consider it is the Washington Post:
1) He’s acceptable to the Fascist-Democrats, making him unacceptable to the Tea Party.
2) The WaPo doesn’t like him, so they are poisoning the well by liking him and thus making him unacceptable to the Tea Party. Never assume you aren’t being played, people.

I had a thought:
This assumes facts not in evidence, namely a Republican Party capable of learning from mistakes…
But what if the plan for Rubio is to have him play Most Likely 2016 Frontrunner, catch all the flak, have all the Democrats be sure they are polling their guy against him, et cetera—and when 2016 or so rolls around, Rubio announces he’s not running. Thus giving the Dems as much warning as the rest of us get as to who the 2016 nominee will be?

So does Sarah Palin but when she became a threat to the man-boy king, she was pilloried out of town.

“Navigating nuance” = Packaging amnesty in different terms and cramming it down our throats.
Bishop on February 11, 2013 at 9:21 AM
The Navigator of Nuance, he is. He’s the Magellan of our time, circumnavigating the Senate and the Media, sailing circles around the People.
What we need are a lot fewer dashing politicians and a lot more staid statesmen.

Rubio made himself unacceptable to the Tea Party. He’s a slimeball with a pea-brain.
ThePrimordialOrderedPair on February 11, 2013 at 9:24 AM
It’s people like you who are going to ensure that the Tea Party shrinks in numbers, not expands. You’re quite nasty aren’t you.
Marcus on February 11, 2013 at 9:35 AM
Just because you don’t like him, doesn’t mean he’s not smart.
Never misunderestimate a man who lets his emotion throw his reason to the wind.
Dusty on February 11, 2013 at 9:38 AM
Let the record reflect that my desire is not to see the Tea Party expand. My desire is to see politicians do the right thing, which at least in the case of immigration, Rubio does not seem to be on course for.
gryphon202 on February 11, 2013 at 9:52 AM
That’s very true, but he’s not.
Heh. Rubio’s emotion made his reason break wind.
ThePrimordialOrderedPair on February 11, 2013 at 9:54 AM
Oh, oh, and he knows who Tupac is.
HerneTheHunter on February 11, 2013 at 10:22 AM
Rubio sounds totally progressive, so we love him! Of course, we totally are going to tell you how ultra conservative he is, because we want these 5th column people to succeed in turning the Republican party into the Democrat party.
