Oh, look: There aren’t enough California doctors to service Obamacare
Reality outside the Beltway/MSNBC bubble bites.

We can do like the Brits and import doctors from third world mohammedian hellholes.

Not quite on topic, I am pretty sure that the California medical schools have turned away plenty of qualified students in favor of the “underrepresented” in recent years. Too bad.

When Stalin didn’t have enough engineers for his 5 Year Plan, he just had the KGB arrest 30,000 of them. Worked like a charm! And he didn’t even have to pay them or feed them very much food. lol

Nurses will help out. Obama scrooms the land.

Wait until even more illegals show up for amnesty.

The President will just have to write an executive order for more doctors.

Really. I was in California celebrating Christmas with my brother, who works for a health care organization, and he was singing the praises of Obamacare at Christmas dinner.
Yeah, isn’t it great to argue politics over the holidays! /
I’m not allowed to be a schadenfreudic jerk because of my personal code of conduct…but it’s hard now…!

Sebelius needs to ban doctor shortages ASAP.

You can’t force doctors to play the OCare game, in the same way you can’t force doctors to play the current insurance game.
I know a couple of doctors who won’t even take mainstream insurance…they’ve decided they don’t have to. They’ll bill you and let you sort it out with your insurer, who will pay ‘reasonable costs’.
In the OCare world this is going to become *very* common. And your OCare insurance’s idea of reasonable costs is not going to be what your bill is. Guess who makes up the difference?

Let. It. Burn.

California will pass a law that allows Nurse Practitioners to be Doctors.
Wait and see.

To replace the ones we’ve just legalized, who are suddenly too expensive to hire.

There is a bill pending in New York State that if passed will allow “other health care providers” to perform abortions. So I guess that means your ophthalmologist could hang out a shingle to make extra money. Perhaps this is how HHS is going to get around the doctor shortage. Anybody can do anything now. You know, barbers were surgeons back in the day. Welcome to the Middle Ages.

Medicare is destined to become Medicaid. In California it is called MediCal.
Good luck finding a reputable doc who will accept you as a patient.

Soon, veterinarians will be able to treat people in California under Obamacare. As well as any children that get the “Doctor’s Play Set” for Christmas.

My doctor is in practice with a nurse practitioner. He had another doctor with him for a short time, who was very overworked, and transfered over to the VA. My doctor is somewhat irascible, so he might have trouble finding other doctors to work with him, but he really is a good doctor. Haven’t been treated by the nurse practitioner yet.

Just wait until doctors start retiring because they’d rather go fly-fishing than work for some gummint bean counter reject who was as big a failure in life and at ACORN as Barky.

Ronald Reagan warned us about that. More than FIFTY YEARS AGO!

You think it is bad now, wait a couple of years. After the ones in medical school now filter out into residency and then into practice, but they aren’t being replaced by top tier college students who will instead choose to go into another line of work. Not to mention the ones in their 50s (peak experience years) who will retire early or just cut back on hours worked. Can you spell trainwreck?? I knew you could.
