New urgency among illegals to cross the border as immigration reform takes shape
Limon was one of a few here who had heard the talk in recent weeks of U.S. immigration reform, on Telemundo newscasts or secondhand, and he said it had added extra urgency to get back into the States. The finer points of the faraway debate were not particularly relevant. But if the Americans were finally going to change their laws and offer a chance to stay, no one wanted to be stuck on the wrong side of the border.
“I think President Obama is going to give preference to people like me, whose children are American, who have never taken welfare and who don’t have criminal records,” said Limon, who has spent the past 21 years cutting grass and clipping topiaries in the beach towns south of Los Angeles. His oldest daughter, 13, is among the top three students in her seventh-grade class, he said, repeating that part of his story twice.
Limon said his only offense over the years has been unlawful reentry, meaning he has been caught multiple times by the Border Patrol after being deported, serving months in federal prison.
How many violations?
“Thirty,” he said.

No Sh!t. You think?
RovesChins on February 11, 2013 at 1:03 PM
Shocka!
Rubio, aiding and abetting a foreign invasion. There’s a name for that …
ThePrimordialOrderedPair on February 11, 2013 at 1:05 PM
Sorry, chump.
You have a criminal record.
The second your p!ssed on our sovereignty to breed and drop.
RovesChins on February 11, 2013 at 1:06 PM
This makes me sick! For crying out loud, COME here legally, do it correct and we will love to have you!
Dang, no telling how many illegal aliens will be coming?

That makes him a repeat felon.
HotAirian on February 11, 2013 at 1:08 PM
You can deal with it or you can go yank his “American” 7th grade honor student kicking and screaming for the cameras and send her to Mexico with her dad. And then count your votes.
Marcus on February 11, 2013 at 1:10 PM
Marco Rubio and the GOP establishment think this is good for America.
Pork-Chop on February 11, 2013 at 1:11 PM
Oh, Palin, too. No criminal activity besides being here? A job? He gets “to stay”.
You might want to lay off your Rubio obsession and rewatch the OReilly interview.
Marcus on February 11, 2013 at 1:14 PM
She can’t vote, Einstein. Neither can he. And anyone who supports keeping them here isn’t a vote worth getting, as the price for it is America, itself. his daughter can blame her parents for putting her in that position.
You are a real slug.
ThePrimordialOrderedPair on February 11, 2013 at 1:15 PM
Yes. So, reward criminal behavior and watch the rest of Mexico/South America’s socialist welfare criminal class come running.
He can take her home and then she can come back when she is older.
RovesChins on February 11, 2013 at 1:15 PM
You might want to go pester someone else.
ThePrimordialOrderedPair on February 11, 2013 at 1:15 PM
Live near any illegals?
Of course not, you’re for invasion.
It’s third world Norte, with five families to a house, baby factory, loud music into the night, urinating outside, remember, third world. Middle class neighborhoods ruined.
But, stand by your fence, bend over, and enjoy the invasion.
RovesChins on February 11, 2013 at 1:19 PM
Saw this coming a mile away. It is a no brainer for the hispanics: immigration amnesty coming and an executive order from Obama allowing illegals to stay in the country. They can’t lose.
KickandSwimMom on February 11, 2013 at 1:20 PM
Works for me.
Ideally in the process revoking her citizenship and everyone like her. I got no problem with it.
astonerii on February 11, 2013 at 1:20 PM
If we officially end the rule of law we’ll be a defacto Mexico.
Awesome.
CorporatePiggy on February 11, 2013 at 1:21 PM
Ohhhhh….it’s votes “we” are after, well then open the borders wide and let everyone in and then ask for their votes.
What a cunningly devious plan. Ok ok we need don’t have a mechanism for keeping the next 20 million border jumpers out but hey, this is about VOTES.
Bishop on February 11, 2013 at 1:23 PM
And he’s one of the “good, law-abiding” illegal aliens. Other than 30 illegal entries, and defying multiple deportation orders, that is. And no doubt like all those other “good, law-abiding” illegal alien U.S. citizen-wannabes, Limon has been scrupulous about obeying all our other laws, those unrelated to immigration. For example, does anyone doubt that he has faithfully filed the required federal and California income tax returns for the 21 years he has been illegally earning income in L.A.? And of course, since he can’t use his real name here (being in violation of numerous deportation orders), he has necessarily had to “borrow” someone else’s identity.
But of course this guy will make a great U.S. citizen. After decades of lying, cheating, and breaking numerous U.S. laws with no meaningful punishment, he’ll suddenly transform overnight into a conscientious, law-abiding citizen, once he gets his amnesty. No, really, he will. They all will. It’s just basic human nature: when you’re rewarded for bad behavior, you immediately change that behavior.
AZCoyote on February 11, 2013 at 1:24 PM
This is about votes, you bigot, and the GOP will get all 20 million of them by passing amnesty. And you can then trust the GOP to listen to your concerns afterward because they won’t care about losing those 20 million votes.
That border wall which will keep the families of all those newly-minted citizens from also getting into the U.S. in a manner that doesn’t require standing in line….oh that will have rock-solid support from our new Americans. Oh yes. VOTES! You racist.
Bishop on February 11, 2013 at 1:28 PM
Not to worry. Marco Rubio is going to do what no other man could achieve and solve this problem once and for all.
Dusty on February 11, 2013 at 1:41 PM
Marco Rubio is going to come out of this miles and miles ahead because ultimately every damn Republican candidate is going to have to take his position. As many of them already have. Including Sarah Palin in 2010 but pointing that out seems to anger some bigot folks round these parts.
Marcus on February 11, 2013 at 1:56 PM
My question is, when America is made into Mexico – what border will I have to cross to get a job?
Senator Rubio, you have an answer for me?
Rebar on February 11, 2013 at 1:56 PM
Marcus makes a good point, though unintentionally: We are NOT going to be able to sustain this country because we will never get the votes to return to the rule of law and the ancient concepts of sovereignty. We can get the votes only if we give up that which makes us America.
We have to direct our efforts at ensuring some portion of the states remains faithful to that concept, so we can rebuild.

I’ve had them outside and inside my home every week for over 20 years. Wednesdays for the yard and Fridays to do the inside to be exact. Never fail, rain or shine. Nice people. You broke it or it doesn’t work, one of my maid’s husband can fix it.
Marcus on February 11, 2013 at 2:07 PM
I meant of course I have more than one maid working, not that one is a bigamist.
Marcus on February 11, 2013 at 2:09 PM
Bingo. Cheap labor.
You’re part of the problem,
Figures.

Been stealing from the pharmacy again, doc? So basically you’re as big a liar as any lib when it comes right down to it….probably because you are a lib when it comes right down to it. Why would his American daughter be kicked out? She wasn’t kicked out any of the other times he was deported, was she?
Poor little amnesty shill….without BS arguments, you’d have no arguments at all.
xblade on February 11, 2013 at 3:16 PM
Exactly. Between the realities of race and their drug-ridden socialist culture, they ruin every American town they slither into. But if we dare pine for the days when our neighborhoods were more WASP (and by sheer coincidence not devalued dumps), we’re evil racist bigots.
I note “urp-durp U luv Stormfront” JFKY is nowhere to be seen on this thread…
