Bloomberg Super PAC spending big against pro-gun Dem House candidate
His super PAC, Independence USA, is dropping more than $1 million in advertisement money against a Democratic candidate running in a special election to replace former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. of Chicago.
The candidate, former U.S. Rep. Debbie Halvorson, has an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association and opposes proposals that call for a renewed ban on assault weapons similar to the one that expired in 2004.
“In Cook County, we have had an assault weapons ban in place for 20 years. However, Chicago still holds the negative distinction of having the highest number of murders in the United States, while not addressing the real concerns of mental health, background checks and straw purchases,” her website states.

The gun related murder figure will be below 1%.
But, dang – they’re scary.

By definition, Bloomberg stands for fewer guns in the hands of the law-abiding. That correlates to more guns in the hands of criminals.
