SOTU: Will Obama dodge climate change again?
But in his 2011 State of the Union address following the shellacking of the midterm elections, he didn’t use the word “climate” even once.
Now, past his reelection worries, Obama put climate back atop the agenda in last month’s inaugural address. Supporters say they’re expecting much of the same in Tuesday’s State of the Union speech, with more focus on actions the administration is preparing to pursue.
“You’re going to like what you hear,” White House aides have told green groups, according to an official at one environmental organization who expects the president to publicly commit to moving forward with EPA climate regulations.
“In past speeches, there was a lot of, ‘I call on Congress,’” the official added. “And what I’m expecting to see more of this time is, ‘This is what my administration is going to do.’”

It’s either liberating and unleashing the economy or giving in to the Green Bigots. It can’t be both.

Has climate change capsized Guam yet? And now the asteroid. This stuff is terrifying
And named winter storms are up 3000% since just last year. He really needs to mention that one. The evidence in incontrovertible.

Politico: Hey, let’s give Barry an excuse to focus on something other than jobs before he even begins to focus on jobs!
The manufacturing of an expiration date is an ugly thing to watch.

Exactly so. O-care is already hamstringing the economy, and setting up an electoral disaster for the ‘rats in 2014.
Giving in to the Green’s demands, and fulfilling even half of what they want, before the 2014 elections would push the economy over the cliff… even the BSM couldn’t spin that away.
(By 2014, ALL of the effects of O-care will be hitting the general population…)
Only the ‘rats in the ‘ultra-blue’ districts and states could weather that storm.
Bottom line: he won’t do squat until he’s fooled the voters one last time… hence his focus on saving the ‘rats (particularly in the Senate).
[As bad as things are within the GOP, the 'rats aren't taking back the House any time soon. The gambit of getting the idiots to reelect him doesn't translate to the off-year election cycle... if it did, the 'rats would have regained the majority in the House in 2010.]
After 2014, depending on what happens, all bets are off.
