“Is this an effect of, perhaps, of global warming or is this just some meteoric occasion?”
Nye resisted confirming her hypothesis.

Bill Nye is a global warming tool, but even he isn’t that dumb.
BigGator5 on February 10, 2013 at 10:32 AM
Dumb, with a capital CNN.
steebo77 on February 10, 2013 at 10:37 AM
It is CNN after all…so that means more people saw the clip via Hot Air than actually watched it live on CNN….

Attempting to draw a link between global warming and a near miss by an asteroid takes some weapons-grade stupidity.
flipflop on February 10, 2013 at 10:45 AM
I’m thinking more than a few airport travelers forcibly subjected to this outrageous stupidity probably got up from their seats, walked to the nearest security location, and assaulted a cop just so as to get arrested and be taken away from the CNN blather.

Wow.

Everyone knows that EVERYTHING is caused by global warming. This just shows how ludicrous all this climate change fear-mongering has become.
Liberal ideology brought to it’s extreme. Anyone want to bet on some liberal blog there is actually someone using scientific terms to explain how she’s correct. That because the earth is warmer it somehow has more mass and therefore attracts more debris in space to visit us?
Global warming is a religion to these folks and they’ll use whatever they can to keep it going and try to scare as many people as possible into believing.

That’s not regular stupid. That’s special stupid.

I’m drawing a blank. What was it that Rick Sanchez said when he was at CNN that was like this; something to make a scientist groan? Anybody remember?
radjah shelduck on February 10, 2013 at 10:53 AM
I was going to say that she must have meant meteorological, but then I watched the video.
Weapons grade stupid.

Here’s one classic, where he thought it would be too cold in Iceland for a volcano:

Or, who could forget this timeless gem wondering what 9 meters is “in English”:

Weapons grade.

Yet, if you turn it around and say celestial mechanics and solar activity causes global warming you are the denier.
Mitoch55 on February 10, 2013 at 11:24 AM
really shouldn’t LMAO about this; it just shows how insanely single-minded the propaganda machine is right now- and how devoid of common sense many people are. I’ll bet you could get well into double digits of people polled who actually say that the increased meteor events are due to global warming.

The party of “science…” Where the hell is lester when one needs a liberal?
