Despite talk of cooperation, Democrats busy sharpening their political knives
“Republicans will either compromise with House Democrats on gun violence prevention and immigration reform or risk alienating suburban voters and the rapidly growing Hispanic voters before the 2014 elections,” a veteran Democratic operative said Friday.
Of course publicly, Democratic leaders insist they want to work with Republicans and believe they’re in a position to do so now, although they complain that Republicans don’t seem to have come to the same conclusion yet.
“I read [Majority Leader] Eric Cantor’s speech. I think we need something more than a gloss of being friendly,” Rep. Sander Levin said Thursday, adding that Republicans are “playing with fire” if they don’t, he warned.
And despite the calls for cooperation, Democrats are clearly steering themselves into a direct conflict with Republicans. Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Steve Israel has dubbed the Boehner-led Congress the “Congress of Chronic Chaos” and showed a video at the retreat titled “Tea Party Congress II: The Sequel” that sums up how he and leadership are approaching the 113th Congress.

The Dems know they have memes to exploit with quick expiration dates. Conservatives know that the memes being exploited have quick expiration dates, and that will be exposed as noise – or in the case of gun control, anti-reality – in the midterms.
The only people who don’t know are, as usual, the RINOs.

Boy, I bet that’ll be what’s on minds of the conservative white 2014 electorate.
These clowns actually think they won in 2012 because of the John Boenher-Eric Cantor “Tea Party Congress?”

It’s always about maneuvering for power, never what’s good for the country.
Screw ‘em. What’s good for the country is gridlock and take your chances in 2014.

The Democrat’s idea of cooperation and bipartisanship for the last 50 years has been:
Trampling upon the guts and gore of their vivisected ‘colleagues from across the aisle’.

Always correct a liberal when they use their new phrase for gun control.

Well, no, the Democrats do cooperate with the Republicans. When the ‘pubbies say “Thank you sir, may I please have another?” the Democrats provide.

We need to stop making anti-heros out of these shooters. I heard the Aurora Theater shooter called the “Batman Shooter” the other day. Its horrible how we glorify these people and give them national attention.
I think we also need to look at our culture. We teach people to talk about their rights and what they are ‘owed’, but we rarely talk about what a person’s duty and responsiblities are (unless we are talking about what taxes the ‘rich’ are supposed to pay so others can have their ‘rights’ paid for.) Nobody wants to talk about real virtue. That seem so old-fashioned these days.

The the Democrat dictionary =
Cooperation = Republicans should cooperate and do it our way
Compromise = Republicans should compromise their principals and do it our way
