“You really wonder if Democrats would win elections if we had an honest media”
ANN COULTER: And it’s long after the presidential election has run. I mean, you really wonder if Democrats would win any elections if we had an honest media in this country. This is really getting to be a problem. As [former Democratic pollster] Pat Caddell says, the media is becoming a threat to democracy.
The things that they went crazy over when Bush was president.
I mean, remember that video at the White House Correspondents’ dinner? We of course found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, but they were not the stockpiles of mass destruction. And he had a little video of, I don’t know, like a dog looking for the weapons of mass destruction under the White House furniture. It was a silly little video, and you would think someone died.
Well here, in this case, under Obama, four people did die and this is coming out, what, five months after it happened, four months after the election? What is with our media?

If you have to wonder this, then you probably do need the Fifth Column Treasonous Media telling you what to think. Cause you are clearly not bright enough to do your own thinking.

I know this is a rhetorical question on Ann’s part…but since Obamaism has come to the country it gone way over ‘bias’ to ‘propagandist’…aka Baghdad Bob media
Everyone remembers the Groseclose book. I think his conclusion was that with a diligently neutral press the polity would be somewhere around TX..very conservative vs. conservative Dems. nb. that that is Bush country…so it is not radical conservative…but a whole lot better in most regards than an Alinsky leftist.

1) Unbiased media
2) Unbiased public education
3) Widespread good parenting
If even one of the three are in place it’s nearly impossible for progressives to win elections. Unfortunately we have none of the three and haven’t for a long time.

They just can’t be honest. If they tried the Dems would accuse them of killing kids and racism. Can’t have that.

Even if we had an honest media we would still have a majority of stupid voters.

HeIIfire they couldn’t win if we just had honest and cheating free elections. Media is just the icing.

At least in Ohio they hedged their bets with massive voter fraud.

That was amazing, huh? Even the election officials played ‘sucka’ with America.

That pretty much sums it up. Number #3 is probably the weakest argument though – after all, it was the “greatest generation” begat the worst generation, but it is a contributing factor, no doubt.
I’m really sick and tired of getting beat to people who espouse failed ideas because the media will dutifully polish their ideological turd. There’s not a whole lot we can do that half the country is so disengaged that they only follow headlines once in a while. Even Dr. Carson pointed out in his speech that the only way this form of government can survive is if we have an engaged electorate, which we now mostly don’t.
There’s not a whole lot we can do about getting people to follow the news, so our only recourse is to influence the headlines they read back into balance. Conservatives leaders must point out the media hypocrisy every time they’re on camera or interviewed. We also need to start buying up media outlets because no matter how many ads we buy, we’ll always be outgunned by the pro-Dem, soft or blatant PR built into the actual programming.
