Jack Lew’s Treasury nomination in trouble over Cayman investments?

Republican staff “have told us that there are concerns,” said Sean Neary, a spokesman for Finance Committee Democrats. “This came out through the vetting process in prior confirmations. Once it was looked into deeper, it was determined that it was not an issue. Lew has been completely transparent and forthcoming through any and all questions that have been posed.”

Lew is scheduled to appear at a confirmation hearing before the committee on Feb. 13.

“That Mr. Lew had an investment in the Caymans from 2007 through 2010 will likely draw questions during his nomination hearing,” said Antonia Ferrier, a spokeswoman for Finance Committee Republicans.

An investment Jack Lew Mitt Romney made in the Cayman Islands has been flagged as an issue in the Treasury secretary nominee’s Presidential candidates’ vetting by the Senate Finance Democrat Smear Committee, according to multiple sources close to the confirmation process the Obama campaign.

Exactly. And it also doesn’t matter if he had sex with underage hookers during his trips there too.

You see, Democrats are our “Enlightened Betters”. If they do things we simpletons see as morally reprehensible we are just incapable of understanding the goodness and light of it because we lack the intelligence and Ivy League education of our “betters”.

Bob Woodward recorded in his latest book that it was Jack Lew who promoted the sequester idea to Obysmal at the last budget impasse. O and Lew own that baby, and the Republicans should not give an inch in negotiating.
