The Tennessean
“If you accept that number, you sell your soul to the devil”
This isn’t the first time that the satanic number has caused Slonopas trouble at work.
During his first day on the job in April 2011, Slonopas was supposed to be assigned the number 668 to use when he clocked in. But the human resources department gave him the wrong number — 666 — instead.
Slonopas, who said he became a born-again Christian about 10 years ago, complained and was given a new number.
In July 2011, the company changed time clock systems, and once again Slonopas got 666. This time he quit. The company apologized and he returned to work a few days later.

Iron Maiden producer Martin Birch was in a car accident while he was working on the Number Of The Beast album with the band. The car he hit was carrying a group of nuns. When he got the bill from the body shop the total was exactly 666 pounds. He refused to pay it. Made them change it to 667 pounds.

I referred to my 91 F250 heavy duty 4X4 extend cab full length bed pickup as the Beast. I took some stuff to the landfill and when I left it scaled at 6660#.

Oh, good grief. I have done multiple Bible studies, including a very intense one on Revelation to St. John.
This is stupid.

What an idjut. Superstitious beliefs like this make otherwise intelligent people do stupid things. I mean here we are in a down economy with millions of people looking for work and this dipstick decides something like this based on a number? I’m sure his family really appreciates his doing this.

Yes, this guy is kind of nutty. But that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to learn from the employers. They already knew this was a problem with the guy from previous experience, and yet they don’t change his employee id number in their database. Instead they handle his objection in crisis mode every time it comes up. The article says:
They obviously don’t mean that enough to actually deal with the situation. Just a microcosm of bureaucratic organizations, like the government. Except you can’t avoid the government.

I can think of 666 reasons why this is stupid and embarrassing to Christian Orthodoxy.

Silly.
The Bible says that Satan’s mark is a number tattooed on the right hand or forehead!
It says Satan’s “Beast” will have the number 666. His followers will have other numbers.
Don’t fear a stupid number!
If you don’t get it tattooed on you, your OK.

I was driving down hwy 110 late one night and my odometer/speedometer broke. The odometer reading was 110666.

behold, I am marked with the number 667, the neighbor of the beast….
SauerKraut537 on February 8, 2013 at 8:46 PM
Actually that’s not what it says at all. It says people will be “marked”, nothing of tatoos mentioned. Further, it says they will be marked with the name of the beast or the number of its name, said number being 666. (Rev. 13:16-18). Interesting though that some manuscripts of Revelation, including one of the oldest, has the number as 616.
