White House: No more information about drone killings will be released to public
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters Thursday that the Obama administration will not be releasing any more information about the controversial use of drones to kill American citizens.
Fox News Radio’s Mike Majchrowitz reported via Twitter that the White House will be giving no more information on the subject to Congress or the public…

No need to worry – we will get all of the information we need when the drones start buzzing overhead across America – seeking out and eliminating those who oppose obama.

The next time any US citizen will learn more about the drone program will be when it’s pointed at him/her. Happy fun times.

Gee, way back when Hot Air peeps were all excited about how awesome it was to be able to kill mr Awlaki, because, well, because he deserved it, never do mind the lack of Due Process that the government used to deprive him of the constitutionally guaranteed right to life. Remember when I said that this was the opening for indiscriminate targeting of Americans with no oversight? No? LOL!
What a bunch of MORONS! If you will not stand up for the rights of the most despicable when it comes time to do so, then you are freely throwing away your own personal rights.

It is extremely interesting how these freedom of information people were heroes back when the GOP had power and now that it is Democrats we are supposed to hate and fear them.

Sounds about right. People aren’t swallowing what we feed them, so we’ll just clam up.
If drones freak you out, do yourself a favor: don’t read Kill Decision by Daniel Suarez.

Good thing Al Jazeera bought Current TV, how else we going to find out about this!

Oh thank goodness. If Americans are assassinated without due process, but nobody knows hears about it, did it really happen?

Just a related FYI:
There is no law against assassinating a foreign target or leader. It is prohibited by executive order, the most recent issued by Reagan.
It is still ironic that there is an executive order still in effect that prohibits the USA from assassinating foreign leaders who are sworn enemies of the USA — yet the Obama administration thinks it is perfectly fine to assassinate US citizens for whatever reasons he makes up as he goes along.

The only due process to which people engaged in war are entitled is to be treated according to the laws of war. Barack Obama’s use of drones makes him a hypocrite. Your criticism of his use of drones to kill those waging war on the United States is idiotic.
Basilsbest on February 7, 2013 at 1:30 PM
I give you moron supreme of the Hot Air crowd. Even after it is made known that there is no process, check or balance on the execution of citizens of the United States, he doubles down and states the obvious.
Never mind the lack of process in determining whether said citizen is waging war, just one person’s uncheckable word is enough to have him killed. State the obvious and ignore the impossible to defend!

Awlaki should have been tried in absentia. Doesn’t matter who was president. Bush really ticked me off, but Obama really scares me. I never thought Bush was going to target US citizens but I did think that he and the GOP were creating precedents that could be used by an ego-maniac some day to stoke the beginnings of a domestic armed conflict.
I don’t think that Obama or this administration, given their total disregard for the rule of law and US Constitution, would get particularly excited about posse comitatus and besides, the National Guard and USCGS don’t fall under posse comitatus to start with. Give the (insert reliable very deep blue state) National Guard a few missile armed Predators and tell them that the armed Tea Party members posed an imminent threat (whatever the heck that means under these drone assassination guidelines).

The White House said today that no more information will be given out concerning citizens being dragged from their homes by government officials and executed at gun point because to do so would only incite public unrest.
No it hasn’t happened yet. But don’t think it could not happen.

You are assuming guilt in the waging or war. If they are killed on a battle – fine. But to be put on a kill list for targeting? Totally different.
