Tony Bennett: Without gun control we could become Nazi Germany or something

TONY BENNETT: It’s the kind of turn that happened to the great country of Germany, when Nazis came over and created tragic things, and they had to be told off. And if we continue this kind of violence and accept it in our country, the rest of the world’s going to really take care of us, in a very bad way.

We should learn that we’re the greatest country, because we’re all different nationalities and all different religions. And we should show the rest of the world how to behave.

The problem is that Tony Bennett is being used (or using himself) in an appeal to authority, as if he has credibility in the area of Second Amendment issues or history.

Bennett is talking out of his toupee.

There is nothing about the Nazi’s to admire at all. Hitler is the personification of evil. How the German people fell under his spell, i just can not understand.

There was a very compelling special on the Third Reich on the History channel – in the first part ‘The Rise’ everyone “loved” Hitler and the National Socialists.

The second part ‘The Fall’ was just the opposite.

That should be a cautionary tale for the Democrats..

Yeah, Tony has some notoriety as a painter. Saw a painting he did a couple of years ago of one of his singing peers (Louis Prima) and it was actually halfway decent. He does have some talent in that field.

But his next musical duet is going to be a project with Lady GaGa. Hope he doesn’t paint her nude.
