Poll: Majority of voters back gay Boy Scouts
In the Quinnipiac poll, 55 percent of respondents said the scouts should drop the ban, while 33 percent said it should remain.
There is a significant gender gap in the results. Women back gay scouts by a 61 to 27 percent margin; among men it’s a narrower 49 to 39 percent margin.
Catholics are also far more likely than Protestants to support the inclusion of gay scouts.

Show me poll averages on this issue and models. Independent polls not media push polls. I don’t buy media commissioned polls whether I like the results or not.

If someone isn’t in favor of the BSA policy making gays ineligible to be Scout Leaders, they they don’t have to join or donate money to the BSA.
I’m not sure what a poll is supposed to mean, other than as a ham-handed way to try and pressure a private organization into adopting a policy.

Before the 2012 election, I believed as did many people here that the polls were biased. Clearly, Romney would win. Now, within reason I believe polls. There may be 5% of the population which answered pro-gay, but would in secret be anti-gay. However, as time goes by such people become pro-gay.

Here is my question for you low information (the old moron voter) voter, who is all good with the Boy Scouts caving in on their principles and beliefs to open up the Boy Scouts to openly gays: Are you perfectly fine with a male who is attracted to other males, taking your 8 to 14 year old son, camping in the woods, with follow up question of, would you then also be perfectly fine with a male who is attracted to females to take your 8 to 14 year old daughter camping in the woods? The sane answer to both question, should be a HELL NO.

Check the job boards. I live right across Stateline Road from Memphis. We have a lot of warehouses in the area. I’m a Marketing VP over 3 companies doing press releases and such and using the Social Media to increase busines. The jobs are out there.

I was reading about gay rights in Indian and noticed that the Christian churches including the Catholic Church want people to be imprisoned for being gay. People who want to perpetuate barbaric superstitions against gays should be given the same legal punishments that they want to inflict on gays.

These Leftwingers (polled, reported by WAPO) should start their own *private* organization for the advancement of being Leftwing. Something about segregated-by-gender groups just doesn’t fit with a Leftwinger’s perspective, especially since as I understand most of them one’s gender is flexible depending on what the want may be.

As the mother of a Cub Scout and a Cub Buddy (next year he’ll be a tiger) the issue is not possible molestation. Being in the Antique and Design business, I’m surrounded by gay people and have them as close friends and yes, family members.
I agree with you that an “out” man is far less likely to abuse than someone living with conflict in the closet. However, when you put a person in a leadership position you are holding up and condoning the lifestyle they choose to lead. Since many packs and troops are sponsored by churches (ours is Baptist) it is wrong to make them accept a leader that lives a life that is not condoned in the Bible.
Now, if that is right or wrong is a discussion for another day.

Liberals are first and foremost Leftwingers. They seem to love latching onto the Catholic church not out of fidelity with the Church but because it’s a route to exploit virtues, and here they go again with their effort to exploit the Boy Scouts.
Homosexual activists made a determined, intentional hack of the CHurch by way of Seminaries years ago, going about selecting candidates for admission based upon…IF they were homosexual and discouraging heterosexuals from the Priesthood.
It’s resulted in massive heartache, hideous sin in violation of human beings and it’s all been done in the name of “fairness” by homosexuals. Sin always adopts one of those Progressive, appealing names for itself.
Pope Benedict is finally working on this horrible, wretched problem. I think a big part of a solution would be to stop tolerating the idea of “homosexuality is just like heterosexuality” because it isn’t — the corruption of the mind and heart by a corrupt culture is a large part of it.

“‘Gay’” is a process that is introduced and reinforced culturally – “we’re only playing games, everyone else does it” and along those lines to gullible youth. Eventually the physical acts but the cultural-modification and indoctrination process remains constant. And make no mistake, it’s opposed to Christianity for reasons most Christians will readily recognize.

I am for gays being allowed in the Boy Scouts. And, I am against some people being scout leaders. I am, also, for women teaching young boys in our public schools. But I don’t think they should be allowed to prey upon the young male students. And, what usually happens in these situations is that they get light sentences or no sentences at all.
