You didn’t charter a private jet for $800 bucks, nor did you buy every seat on your commercial flight. I’m guessing he has to pay the going rate for the flight on the open market for door-to-door service on a private flight, and one that waits for you at your destination and takes you home when you’ve shot all your…er, cash.

In fairness, there is no proof that he had sex with any prostitutes, let alone underaged ones. That’s an allegation easy to make and difficult to prove (or disprove). If memory serves, Rush Limbaugh was accused a few years ago of engaging in “sex tourism” in countries like the Dominican Republic.

But we know the flights happened. It sounds like Menendez either didn’t know he wasn’t allowed to accept free flights or didn’t think he’d get caught.
