Compromise. See this is what I don’t get here. Can I compromise on a law? Can I only half murder someone? Pay only the amount of taxes that I feel is fair?

Exactly. One of my favorite Ayn Rand quotes is, “When you compromise between poison and food, death always wins.”

Scores of lawsuits have now been filed, and, as they have been winding their way through the legal system, it’s become clear that the bishops and their allies have very strong cases.

Let us hope that the religious groups who have filed these lawsuits have the cajones to follow thru and not sip from the sugar teat BO is offering.

Don’t sign up for Catholic University as a student if their morality code is objectionable to you. No one is forcing anyone to be a student at Georgetown or any other Catholic University. A Catholic University is not a state university owned by the public.

And finally, do you know that Sandra Fluke and her unfortunate women friends did not have to buy that objectionable catholic health policy in order to attend Georgetown. As parents of college age students all know, you send in a form, saying that you got your health insurance elsewhere, and if it is enough coverage, you do not pay the health insurance fee. The woman’s complaint was all a sham. She did not belong at a Catholic University, she was only there to make trouble.

The administration knows this, which is why it has been suggesting for months that it was working on a genuine compromise that would make the court cases irrelevant.

When you write a “law” as vague and broad as Obamacare you can make it to whatever you want… Unless you paint yourself into a corner like they seem to be doing.
